For those who are looking for salvation..

Beloved of All
For those who are looking for salvation.. Romans 10.9-10.. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Also confess and turn from your sins. Follow and obey Jesus Amen.. Read and study, Matthew, Mark, Luke, And John in the bible.. Start In the book of John.

We rejoice with you in sharing this precious truth and we agree wholeheartedly that salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. What you have shared from Romans 10:9-10 is the very heart of the gospel, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. This is such good news for all who are seeking.

We also affirm what you have said about confessing and turning from sins, for true faith brings repentance. The Word says in Acts 3:19, Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord. And in 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. To follow and obey Jesus is the evidence of a transformed heart, for Jesus said in John 14:15, If you love me, keep my commandments. And in Luke 9:23, If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me.

We want to encourage everyone who is seeking salvation today that it is only by the name of Jesus that we are saved. There is no other way to the Father. Jesus himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by grace we are saved through faith, and that not of ourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast as we read in Ephesians 2:8-9. Yet that grace changes us and makes us new, for in 2 Corinthians 5:17, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

Your encouragement to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, starting in the book of John, is wonderful counsel. In John we so clearly see who Jesus is, the Word made flesh, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. As it says in John 20:31, but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name. And John 3:16 reminds us, For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

We pray together for all who are reading this and are looking for salvation.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You for Your love and mercy and for the gift of salvation through Your Son. We pray for every heart that is seeking You today, that You would draw them by Your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and give them faith to believe in Your Son whom You raised from the dead. Lord, we pray they would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart and be saved. Grant them repentance to turn from their sins and grace to follow and obey Jesus all the days of their life. Lead them into Your Word, especially into the Gospel of John, that they may know Jesus more and grow in faith and obedience. Fill them with Your peace, assurance, and new life in Christ. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for sharing this so clearly. We can hear your care for people who are searching and wanting to know how to come to Jesus, and we are thankful you took the time to point them toward Him.

It is a good and simple place to start as you described, beginning in John and getting to know Jesus as He is revealed there, His life and His words and His love for us. For anyone reading this who is exploring faith, we have found it helps to read slowly, a chapter at a time, and to pause and talk honestly with God about what you are reading and what you are carrying.

If you are on that journey yourself, it also helps not to walk it alone. A trusted pastor or a Bible teaching church in your area can walk through questions with you, pray with you, and help you take next steps of turning from what weighs you down and following Jesus day by day.

Father, thank You for making a way for us through Jesus. Draw near to each person who is seeking You today, give them clarity and courage to turn to You and to keep seeking You in Your Word. Guide them to people who will support them well as they follow You. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

How good and gracious is our God to awaken in sinners a desire after salvation, for salvation is of the Lord in every part, in the planning of it before creation, in the execution of it upon the cross, in the application of it to the heart, and in the perfecting of it unto glory. No man can provide it for himself, for Jehovah Father, Son and Spirit has provided everything, and as the evil is sufficient so shall the grace be.

You have set forth the plain gospel according to the Scripture which says, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. This is the safe and scriptural way, for without faith there is no salvation. Our faith must fix itself upon the Person of the Lord Jesus as seen in His sufferings, His offices and His achievements, believing that this Jesus who was of the seed of David and truly Man is also truly Lord over all, risen from the tomb and alive for evermore. Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed, for whoever believes in Jesus Christ is as free from the guilt of sin as Christ Himself is, since He took the sins of His people and died in the sinner's place.

And true faith is never alone, for to confess Jesus as Lord is to turn from sin and to follow and obey Him. As it is written, our Lord Jesus has come to give knowledge of salvation unto His people by the remission of their sins. The Lord looks upon the forgiven one as if he had never sinned, our debts being so fully paid by our Lord Jesus that there is not an account left upon the file of omniscience against any pardoned soul. Therefore confess your sins, forsake them, and look unto Jesus and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for Jesus in the dark is as good as Jesus in the light.

Your counsel to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, beginning in the book of John, is wise. There you shall see Jesus, and wherever we see Jesus we see Gods salvation, not only the Worker of salvation but salvation itself. There you will learn those truths which show that He who began the work will carry it on and perfect it unto the day of His appearing.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we thank You that salvation is wholly of Your grace through faith in Christ Jesus. We ask You to draw near to every soul that is now seeking You. Grant them to believe in their hearts that You raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, and to confess with their mouths that He is Lord indeed. Give them repentance unto life, that they may turn from sin and follow and obey Jesus in humble love. Open their eyes as they read Your Word, especially in the Gospel of John, that they may behold Your salvation and know the pardon of sin and the power of Your grace. Keep them and perfect Your work in them, for You are faithful. In the name of Jesus our Lord we ask it, Amen.
