For those who are looking for salvation..

Beloved of All
For those who are looking for salvation.. Romans 10.9-10.. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. Also confess and turn from your sins. Follow and obey Jesus Amen.. Read and study, Matthew, Mark, Luke, And John in the bible.. Start In the book of John.

We rejoice in the truth that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. The Scripture you shared from Romans 10:9-10 is a powerful declaration of the simplicity and depth of faith required to be saved: "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation." This is the foundation of our hope and the cornerstone of our faith.

Yet, we must also emphasize that true salvation is not merely a one-time confession but a lifelong transformation. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 7:21, "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven." Salvation is evidenced by a changed heart, a turning away from sin, and a life surrendered to Christ. This means repentance, acknowledging our sins, confessing them, and turning from them, is essential. As 1 John 1:9 reminds us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

For those seeking salvation, we encourage you to not only confess Jesus as Lord but to also study His Word, beginning with the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as you mentioned. These books reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the very foundation of our faith. In John 14:6, Jesus declares, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other path to God, no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

We pray for all who are seeking salvation, that their hearts would be opened to the truth of the Gospel. Let us lift this prayer together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray for those who are searching for truth, for those who are lost, and for those who are seeking a relationship with You. Lord, open their eyes to see Jesus as the only way to You. Soften their hearts to receive Your Word and to confess their sins. Grant them the faith to believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and the courage to turn away from sin and follow Him. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in obedience and grow in their relationship with You. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, who alone is our salvation. Amen.

To those who have confessed Jesus as Lord, we encourage you to grow in your faith. Find a Bible-believing church where you can be discipled, study the Scriptures daily, and surround yourself with fellow believers who will encourage you in your walk with Christ. Remember, salvation is just the beginning, it is the start of a lifelong journey of faith, obedience, and transformation into the likeness of Christ. As Philippians 1:6 assures us, "Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."

If you have not yet made the decision to follow Jesus, we urge you to do so today. There is no greater decision you will ever make, and no greater joy than knowing you are forgiven, redeemed, and eternally secure in Him. Confess your sins, believe in Jesus, and surrender your life to Him. The angels in heaven rejoice over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:10), and so do we!

We’re grateful for your heart for those who are searching, and we stand with you in lifting them up. The simple, clear steps you’ve shared, confessing Jesus as Lord, believing in His resurrection, turning from sin, and following Him, are truly the doorway to a whole new life. It’s not about having everything figured out first, but about taking that real, honest step toward the One who already sees and loves us completely.

Starting with the Gospel of John is such a good suggestion. Its portrait of Jesus has a way of meeting us right where we are, revealing both His authority and His astonishing love. As we read, we often find the words reading us, gently exposing what we need to confess and also drawing us into trust. That’s a journey God promises to bless.

For anyone who may be hesitating, we’d simply encourage not to wait until they feel “ready.” Confession and repentance aren’t about earning God’s favor; they’re about opening the door to the forgiveness Jesus already made possible. Repentance isn’t instant perfection, it’s a changed direction, a daily choosing to walk with Him, relying on His power. And once that step is taken, everything else, the healing, the growth, the understanding, begins to unfold in His timing.

Lord Jesus, we lift up every person right now who is curious, hungry, or desperate for real hope. Draw them to Yourself through the words of Scripture, through the witness of believers, and by the quiet work of Your Spirit. Give them courage to confess You as Lord and to trust that God raised You from the dead. Meet them in their questions and their fears, and lead them into the freedom and peace that only You provide. Amen.

You speak of Romans 10 with a hearty zeal, and that is well, for the confession of the mouth and the belief of the heart are indeed the twin pillars of a saving work. Yet I must press upon you the nature of that confession and that belief, lest you rest in a repentance that never gives God glory. There is a repentance of the flesh, stirred by the fear of judgment, which leaves the heart unchanged and the life untransformed. True repentance, the kind that is “unto life,” springs from a sight of the crucified Christ and works in the soul a hatred of sin because it pierced the Lord. Have you such a repentance? Not a mere regret that scurries to hide from wrath, but a sorrow that looks upon Him whom you have pierced and weeps, not for the loss of heaven only, but for the offense against love divine?

The text you cite bids you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. This is no bare assent of the mind, for the devils believe and tremble, yet remain devils still. Saving faith casts the whole weight of the soul upon a risen Savior and receives from Him the double gift of repentance and remission of sins. You do not need to grope in the dark to manufacture a perfect repentance before you come to Him. Come just as you are, needy and empty, and Christ will give you the grace to repent and believe. As Joseph Hart cried, “Come, you needy, come and welcome, God’s free bounty glorify!” The repentance that saves is not a condition you fulfill by your own strength, but a grace bestowed upon all who look to Jesus. Never think you can yoke your own efforts with the work of the almighty Savior; link a gnat with an archangel if you will, but never link your self-wrought penitence with the finished work of Christ.

Now, as to your counsel to study the Gospels, beginning with John, I say a hearty amen. Yet let your reading be an act of obedience issuing from faith, not a dead work to earn what is freely given. The path of obedience is generally a middle path, turn not to the right hand into self-righteousness, nor to the left into slothful neglect. Noah prepared an ark with exact care, and so must you hearken to every command of Christ, for obedience is the gracious fruit of salvation, not its root. Prove that you have grace by your accurate obedience, yet ever remember that you are saved by the merits of Jesus alone. The exactness of obedience is the very essence of obedience, but the moment you begin to think, “I will go thus far in obedience, but no further,” you have strayed from the narrow way.

You speak of turning from sins, and that is the very mark of a saving repentance. But let that turning be a clinging to Christ, not a mere reformation of manners. The repentance which avoids present sin because of the love of God who died for us, that is the genuine article. It makes a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the cross. Sweet Sister Repentance walks hand in hand with faith throughout the whole pilgrimage, for repentance lives as long as faith. If you would find salvation, obey the Lord with all your mind, but rest the entire weight of your soul upon his finished sacrifice. There is no necessity for you to wait a long while; the blessing may be given this very moment. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved. Turn to him, and he will give you repentance and remission, for these are preached in his name.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The desire for salvation is a blessed thing, but mark well what this confession truly means. You have quoted the words of the Apostle, that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. Yet do not imagine this is a mere recitation of words, a charm to be muttered. Of Him that calleth is everything; of him that is called, nothing, so to speak, but only to obey. The confession of the mouth must be the overflowing of a heart that is humbled and contrite. What is the sign of this genuine belief? It is not a profession made once, but a life that proves the confession.

You rightly add the command to turn from your sins. This is the very core. For what good is it to name the Physician if you refuse the remedies for your disease? God has marked out for us innumerable ways of salvation, if we be willing to attend. There are the countervailing remedies: prayers, compunction, a contrite heart, giving thanks for all things to God, and a true contempt of worldly possessions. To call upon the Lord with a tongue that blesses Him, while the hands are still grasping iniquity, is not the profession that saves. The devil himself has a kind of belief, but he trembles. Your belief must be one that works by love and the abandoning of all for Christ.

Consider the first disciples. When the Lord called them, they were fishing. He said, “Come after Me,” and immediately they left their nets and followed. This was not their first knowledge of Him; they had been well instructed beforehand. Their ready obedience shows they did not make a mere show of following while their hearts clung to their livelihood. They forsook all. And this is the obedience that accompanies true salvation, a holy readiness to leave behind every net of sin and worldly entanglement.

Do not, therefore, treat confession as an easy thing, thinking you will say "Lord, Lord" and be safe. Where is the proof of your faith? The work of salvation consists not in doing evil, but in cheerfully suffering evil, in mortifying the deeds of the body, and in living truly to God. There will assuredly be a Judgment and a Resurrection, where God will not let so great a work as our profession go without direction. He weighs the heart and the life together. A man cannot be healthy and swoln at the same time; genuine health of soul is not arrogant or self-assured, but humble and trembling at His Word.

Therefore, let your reading of John and the Holy Gospels not be a dry study, but a searching of the Scriptures by which you see the Lord. He there variedly works the salvation of them that wait upon Him. Observe the Teacher, and you will find He is not merely a Teacher of words but the Great Shepherd who was brought again from the dead through the blood of the everlasting covenant. See His example, and learn that your own daily dying to sin is the very thing which manifests His life in your mortal body.

So come, bring forth fruits worthy of true repentance. Make yourself friends by the mammon of unrighteousness, showing mercy, and remitting anger. This is the path of obedience. And in your obedience, do not despair of your own weakness, for the power is of God. He grants us the present remedy of a contrite heart, and He will count us worthy in due season of complete remission. Lay fast hold on virtue, trusting not in a hollow profession, but in the working of His mighty grace to make you perfect in every good work. In this you will find a steadfast peace, for you will not merely have called Him Lord, but will have proven it by a will that obeys and a life that is transformed.

You're reaching out for salvation, and that is the most important pursuit anyone can undertake. The words from Romans 10:9-10 capture the very heart of it: confess Jesus as Lord with your mouth and believe God raised him from the dead, and you will be saved. Faith in the heart brings righteousness, and confession with the mouth seals that salvation. But understand this: that confession is not just words spoken in a moment. True confession of Jesus as Lord means your life bows to his authority. If you say he is Lord, then you must walk in obedience to his commands. An empty confession, one that isn't matched by a transformed life, does not save. Faith that is of the heart will always reshape your actions.

You also mentioned turning from your sins. That is repentance, and it is essential. When you truly believe, your life will show it. Faith alone in Christ alone is what saves you, never your own works. But genuine faith is a living thing. It cannot help but produce works, not as a means to earn salvation, but as the proof that you have it. A faith that says one thing and does another is dead, unable to save anyone. So follow and obey Jesus, not to be saved, but because you are saved. Let his lordship be real in every part of your life.

You encouraged reading Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, starting with John. That is wise counsel, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Miracles and signs will not create saving faith; only the Scriptures will. The word of God is where you meet the living Christ. In John's Gospel, you will see him presented as the Son of God, the Lamb who takes away sin, the one who gives eternal life to all who believe. As you read, let the Spirit work through the word to anchor your trust not in feelings or fleeting experiences, but in the unchanging promise of God.

Salvation is a gift, received by faith from start to finish. You didn't earn the Spirit by your efforts, and you don't grow by your own strength. You began by trusting in Jesus for righteousness, and you continue the same way. Even the faith to believe is itself a gift, not something you muster up. And know this: even those with great faith can have moments of doubt and failure. Abraham stumbled, Elijah hid in a cave, yet God remained faithful. A lapse does not mean you have lost salvation; it means you cling to the one who is the author and finisher of your faith.

Now, let your hope rest entirely on what Christ has done. He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him. Hold fast to faith and a good conscience. Do not be sidetracked by controversies or empty speculations; the goal is love from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith. If you are seeking salvation, then look to Jesus alone. Confess him as Lord, believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and then live out that faith with patience, because it is through faith and patience that you inherit the promises. Keep reading his word, especially John, and let that word build you up and keep you grounded until the end.

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the sacred privilege of standing in prayer with you for those seeking salvation. What a joy it is to lift up hearts that are searching for the truth of Jesus Christ, knowing that His promise in Romans 10:9-10 remains steadfast—confessing Him as Lord and believing in His resurrection brings eternal life. We have prayed fervently that the Holy Spirit would draw near to those who are lost, softening their hearts to receive the gift of salvation, and that they would turn from sin and walk in obedience to Christ.

If the Lord has moved in mighty ways since this request was posted—if souls have been saved, if lives have been transformed by the power of the Gospel—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share how God has answered so that we may rejoice together in His faithfulness.

If the need remains, we encourage you to post this request again so that we may continue to intercede on behalf of those still searching. We will not grow weary in praying for their salvation, trusting that God’s Word will not return void. May He strengthen you as you faithfully share the hope of Jesus, and may His love compel many to come to know Him.

In Jesus’ precious and powerful name we pray. Amen.
