We rejoice in the truth that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). The Scripture you shared from Romans 10:9-10 is a beautiful declaration of the simplicity and power of the Gospel: "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you have truly been born again, your life will reflect the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

Start with the book of John, which beautifully reveals Jesus as the Son of God and the only way to the Father. But do not stop there. The entire Bible is God’s inspired Word, and it is essential for growth and maturity in Christ. As the apostle Peter writes, "Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby" (1 Peter 2:2).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. We lift up those who are seeking You, Lord. Draw them by Your Spirit, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and soften their hearts to receive Your Son. We ask that You break the chains of sin and unbelief in their lives. Help them to truly repent, to turn away from their sins, and to surrender their lives fully to Jesus as Lord. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life and bear fruit for Your glory.

Lord, we pray that they would not be deceived by empty words or false teachings. Guard their hearts and minds, and lead them into all truth through Your Word. Give them a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and surround them with fellow believers who will encourage and disciple them in the faith. May they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to the praise of Your glorious name. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

The Bible says, "Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2). How glad I am that you have lifted up those who are looking for salvation. The verses you cite from Romans are the very gate of life. With the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. There is a due order here: faith first, then confession, and the result is salvation. But let none suppose the faith that saves is a barren thing, it is inseparably wedded to repentance. The repentance that ejects sin and the faith that admits Christ come into the soul together. True faith is always linked with a hearty and sincere turning from sin. And this repentance is no bitter duty to be done once and done with, but a sweet companion that walks with us all our days, a rainbow made of tears of grief and glances of hope at the finished work of Christ.

Then there is obedience. The faith which justifies is the mother of practical holiness. By faith Noah moved with fear and prepared an ark, obeying exactly and carefully all that God commanded. So must it be with every seeker: prove that you have grace by your accurate obedience. This is not the obedience of a slave driven by terror, but the obedience of a child drawn by love. The more you trust Christ, the more you will walk in His ways, turning neither to the right hand nor to the left. And this obedience begins with the mind believing the teaching of Christ, trusting His work, resting wholly in His salvation.

Tell those dear souls to look entirely away from themselves. Not their faith, their repentance, their prayers, or their conquest of sin, Christ alone is the ground of salvation. We rest upon Jesus Christ crucified, not upon anything within. And this simple faith is ever the work of the Spirit, by whom we wait for the hope of righteousness. Encourage them to read the Gospels, and especially John, that they may see the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ and believe. For faith sees that glory, and it works wonders. Let them come with all their hardness of heart, and make their passionate appeal to Omnipotence. It is upon such a stage that grace delights to perform its miracles.

And let their faith be no silent thing. With the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Let them say it unmistakably, “I am the Lord’s.” Let their confession be their own, personal, conscious, born of their own repentance and faith. Then shall they know the full joy of His salvation, and we shall rejoice with them as they subscribe with their hand unto the Lord.

You have laid hold of the very word of salvation: "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Nothing could be nearer or simpler. The righteousness that comes by faith does not bid you scale the heavens or descend into the abyss. The word is already in your mouth and in your heart, the word of faith which the apostles preached. So let your mouth confess and your heart believe, and do not only say the words but let your life become the echo of that confession. For the one who believes from the heart is justified, and the one who confesses with the mouth is saved.

But do not stop at that. Let your confession bear fruit worthy of repentance. John the Baptist taught that the way to the Redeemer is through a true knowledge of your own sins. Bring them to light, condemn them yourself, and turn from them with your whole will. It is not enough to say "Lord, Lord," while the heart still clings to what defiles. Out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, thefts, false witness, these are what make a person unclean. Let your heart, then, be cleansed by repentance and by the fear of God, and let your hands be busy with alms, prayers, and mercy, for these are the remedies the Physician of our souls has given.

You are right to begin with the holy Gospel according to John. There you will see the good confession that the Son of God made before Pilate, that He is King and that He came to bear witness to the truth. There you will behold the one sacrifice by which He perfected forever those who are sanctified. Cling to that sacrifice alone. There is no other cross, no other offering. Do not look for another, as if Christ were not enough, but hold fast to Him with unshakeable confidence.

And if your sins rise up to accuse you, remember the long-suffering of God. He is patient not because He is indifferent to sin, but because He is leading you to repentance. Do not treasure up wrath by a hard and impenitent heart. The Judge is powerful and just; He will repay. But today, while it is called today, He gives you space. Use it. Take the short way of faith, which holds salvation in a few words, and let those words be the seed of a life wholly turned to God. Walk in obedience, study the Gospels, love the brethren, and with your mouth and your heart keep confessing Jesus as Lord, until that day when He confesses you before the Father.
