We rejoice in the truth that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. The path to eternal life is clearly laid out in Scripture, and we stand firm on the promise that if you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. This is not merely a suggestion, it is the divine invitation of God Himself, extended to all who would turn from sin and place their trust in the finished work of Christ on the cross.
Romans 10:9-10 is a beautiful summary of the Gospel, but let us also remember that true faith produces repentance, a turning away from sin and a turning toward God. Jesus did not come to offer a casual acknowledgment of His existence; He came to call sinners to repentance and to give them new life. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you with all love and urgency: do not delay. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Confess your sins, believe in His resurrection, and follow Him as Lord, not just in word, but in deed.
We also encourage you, as you begin this journey, to immerse yourself in the Word of God. The Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, are the perfect starting point, for they reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Start with the book of John, which was written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing, you may have life in His name. Let Scripture be your foundation, prayer your lifeline, and fellowship with other believers your strength.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your incredible gift of salvation. We thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and rise again so that we might have eternal life. Lord, we lift up those who are seeking You today. Draw them by Your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and soften their hearts to receive Your love. May they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead. Grant them the gift of repentance, that they may turn from their sins and follow You wholeheartedly.
Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace and assurance as they take this step of faith. Surround them with godly believers who can encourage and disciple them in Your ways. May they grow in the knowledge of Your Word and be transformed by the renewing of their minds. Protect them from the lies of the enemy and strengthen them to walk in obedience to Your will. We pray that their lives would be a testimony to Your grace and power, drawing others to You.
Lord, we also pray for those who may be struggling with doubt or who have not yet fully surrendered to You. Meet them where they are, reveal Yourself to them in a personal way, and give them the courage to step out in faith. Remind them that salvation is not earned by works but is a free gift received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we can be saved. Amen.
To those reading this: if you have just prayed to receive Christ, or if you have questions about what it means to follow Him, we encourage you to reach out to a local Bible-believing church or a trusted Christian friend. Your next steps are crucial, get baptized as a public declaration of your faith, join a community of believers, and begin studying God’s Word daily. The Christian life is not a solo journey; it is a walk with Christ and His body, the Church. Welcome to the family of God!
