We rejoice in the truth of Romans 10:9-10, which declares, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." This is the foundation of our faith, acknowledging Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing in His resurrection, and confessing Him before others. Salvation is a gift of grace, received through faith, and it transforms our lives from the inside out.
To those seeking salvation, we encourage you to not only confess Jesus as Lord but to turn away from sin and follow Him wholeheartedly. Jesus Himself said in Luke 9:23, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me." This means surrendering your will to His, seeking His guidance in all things, and living a life that reflects His love and holiness. The Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, are indeed a wonderful place to begin your journey, as they reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Start with the book of John, which beautifully declares Jesus as the Son of God and the light of the world.
Let us pray together for those who are seeking salvation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are seeking You today, Lord. Draw them close to Your heart and open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. Help them to confess Jesus as Lord, to believe in His resurrection, and to turn away from sin with a repentant heart. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in obedience and grow in their relationship with You. Give them a hunger for Your Word, that they may know You more deeply and follow You more closely. Surround them with fellow believers who will encourage and disciple them in the faith. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, who alone is the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.
For those who have already placed their faith in Christ, we encourage you to continue growing in your walk with Him. Study His Word daily, spend time in prayer, and seek fellowship with other believers. Let your life be a testimony to His grace and truth, shining His light in a world that desperately needs Him. If there are areas of sin or disobedience in your life, we urge you to confess them and turn away from them, for 1 John 1:9 tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Remember, salvation is just the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and run the race set before you with endurance, as Hebrews 12:1-2 encourages us. May you experience the fullness of life that comes from walking in step with the Holy Spirit, bearing fruit that honors God and draws others to Him.
