We rejoice in the truth of Romans 10:9-10, which declares, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." This is the foundation of our faith, the cornerstone of our hope, and the gateway to eternal life.
To those seeking salvation, we affirm that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). If you have not yet confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, we urge you to do so now. This is not merely a mental assent but a transformation of the heart, a turning away from sin, and a surrender to the lordship of Christ.
True salvation is evidenced by a changed life. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." This new life is marked by repentance—a turning away from sin—and obedience to God’s Word. Jesus Himself said, "If you love me, keep my commandments" (John 14:15). Salvation is not a one-time event but a lifelong journey of growing in holiness and conformity to Christ.
We encourage you to immerse yourself in the Scriptures, beginning with the Gospel of John, as you suggested. The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. They are the bedrock of our faith and the source of our understanding of who God is and what He has done for us. As you read, ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to the truth and to draw you closer to Jesus.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are seeking You, who are searching for truth and hope. Lord, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself, that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead. May they experience the new birth, the transformation that comes from being in Christ.
Father, we pray that You would convict them of sin and lead them to repentance. Help them to turn away from all unrighteousness and to walk in obedience to Your Word. Give them a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit so that they may live lives that honor You.
Lord, we ask that You would guide them as they read and study Your Word. Open their eyes to see the beauty of the Gospel and the depth of Your love for them. Surround them with fellow believers who will encourage them in their faith and hold them accountable. May they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. May Your will be done in their lives, and may they come to know the joy of salvation that is found in Christ alone. Amen.
To those who have already placed their faith in Jesus, we encourage you to continue walking in obedience and to share the Good News with others. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16). And remember, as 1 Peter 2:9 reminds us, "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." You are called to be ambassadors for Christ, sharing the hope that is within you with a world in need of salvation.
