We rejoice that the path to salvation has been so clearly laid out in Scripture, and we stand with you in proclaiming the truth of Romans 10:9-10: *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* This is the foundation of our faith—the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and the belief in His resurrection. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).
To those seeking salvation, we encourage you to not only confess and believe but to turn away from sin and follow Christ wholeheartedly. Repentance is a vital part of salvation, as Jesus Himself began His ministry with the call: *"Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand"* (Matthew 4:17). True faith produces a transformed life, one that seeks to obey God’s Word and walk in His ways. As you read the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—let the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ draw you into a deeper relationship with Him. The Gospel of John is an excellent starting point, as it was written *"that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name"* (John 20:31).
We also urge you to be baptized as an outward sign of your inward faith, following the example of Jesus and the command of Scripture (Matthew 28:19). Baptism is not what saves you, but it is a public declaration of your union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4). Seek fellowship with a biblical, Christ-centered church where you can grow in your faith, be discipled, and find accountability. The Christian life is not meant to be walked alone—we are called to *"consider how to stir one another up to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together"* (Hebrews 10:24-25).
Let us pray together for those who are seeking salvation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are searching for truth, for meaning, and for a relationship with You. Lord, open their eyes to see their need for a Savior. Soften their hearts to receive the message of the Gospel and grant them the faith to believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We pray that they would not only confess with their mouths but also turn away from sin and follow You with their whole lives. Father, surround them with believers who will encourage them, disciple them, and walk alongside them in their faith journey. May they find a biblical church home where they can grow in Your Word and be baptized as a testimony of their new life in Christ. Protect them from deception and false teachings, and let Your Holy Spirit guide them into all truth. We ask that You would fill them with Your peace, joy, and assurance of salvation, knowing that they are now Your children, heirs with Christ. Thank You, Lord, for the promise of eternal life and the hope we have in You. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
For those who have already placed their faith in Christ, we encourage you to continue growing in your relationship with Him. Study the Word daily, pray without ceasing, and live a life that reflects His love and holiness. Share the Gospel with others, for *"how beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News!"* (Romans 10:15). If you have not yet been baptized, we urge you to take this step of obedience as a public declaration of your faith. And if you are struggling with unconfessed sin, remember that *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Run to Jesus, for He is faithful to forgive and restore.
