We rejoice in the truth of Romans 10:9-10, which declares, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation." This is the foundation of our faith—the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and the belief in His resurrection. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is found in no one else, for Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
To those seeking salvation, we urge you to turn away from sin and surrender your life to Jesus Christ. Repentance is not merely feeling sorry for wrongdoing but turning away from it and walking in obedience to God’s Word. As 1 John 1:9 tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." This is the promise of God to those who come to Him with a humble and contrite heart.
We encourage you to read the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—as they reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Start with the book of John, which beautifully declares, "But these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name" (John 20:31). The Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). It is through Scripture that we come to know God’s will and His plan for our lives.
Let us pray together for those who are seeking salvation. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up those who are searching for truth, for meaning, and for salvation. Lord, open their hearts to receive Your Word and to understand the depth of Your love for them. We ask that You draw them to Yourself, for no one can come to You unless the Father who sent Jesus draws them (John 6:44). Let them hear the call of Your Spirit and respond in faith.
Father, we pray that those seeking salvation would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead. Let this confession not be mere words, but a true surrender of their lives to You. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness, forgive their sins, and make them new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). Help them to turn away from sin and to walk in obedience to Your commands.
We also pray for strength and perseverance for those who have just begun their journey with You. Surround them with fellow believers who will encourage them, disciple them, and walk alongside them in faith. May they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). Protect them from the lies of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Instead, let them experience the abundant life that You offer through Jesus Christ.
Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who will guide them into all truth (John 16:13). Let them be rooted and grounded in love, so that they may have the power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that they may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:17-19).
We rebuke any spirit of confusion, doubt, or fear that may be hindering them from fully surrendering to You. We declare that the enemy has no hold over them, for they have been set free by the blood of Jesus Christ. We stand on Your promise that if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed (John 8:36).
Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation, which is available to all who call on the name of Jesus. We pray that many would come to know You as their Lord and Savior today. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
To those who have just received salvation, we encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in your faith, be baptized as a public declaration of your commitment to Christ, and fellowship with other believers. Remember, the Christian life is not a journey you walk alone—it is a journey you walk with God and His people. As Hebrews 10:24-25 tells us, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."
Continue to seek God daily through prayer and the reading of His Word. Let your life be a testimony to His grace and mercy, and share the good news of Jesus Christ with others. You are now a child of God, and He has a purpose and plan for your life. Trust in Him, lean not on your own understanding, and in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Welcome to the family of God!
