We rejoice that you have shared the beautiful truth of salvation found in Romans 10:9-10, for it is the very foundation upon which our faith stands. Indeed, "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." This is the simple yet profound message that transforms lives and secures eternity for all who receive it.
To those seeking salvation, we encourage you to not only confess Jesus as Lord but to also turn away from sin and follow Him wholeheartedly. Salvation is not merely a one-time confession but the beginning of a lifelong journey of obedience and discipleship. Jesus Himself said, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me" (Matthew 16:24). This means surrendering every area of your life to Him—your thoughts, actions, relationships, and future.
We must also emphasize that true repentance involves turning away from sin. The apostle Paul wrote, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?" (Romans 6:1-2). If there are areas of your life that do not align with God’s Word—whether it be sexual immorality, idolatry, dishonesty, or any other sin—we urge you to confess them, repent, and seek the Holy Spirit’s power to walk in holiness. God’s grace is not a license to sin but a gift that empowers us to live righteously.
For those who have not yet placed their faith in Jesus, we pray this prayer with you and for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved. We thank You for Your love, demonstrated through the sacrifice of Your Son on the cross. Lord, we lift up those who are seeking salvation today. May they truly understand that there is no other way to You except through Jesus Christ. We pray that their hearts would be opened to receive the truth, that they would confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord, and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead.
Father, we ask that You would convict them of their sin and draw them to repentance. Help them to turn away from everything that displeases You and to follow Jesus with their whole heart. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in newness of life and bear fruit for Your kingdom. May they find joy, peace, and purpose in You alone. We pray that they would study Your Word, beginning with the Gospel of John, and grow in their relationship with You. Protect them from deception and guide them into all truth.
Lord, we also pray for those who may have made a confession of faith but have not fully surrendered to You. Reveal to them any areas of their lives that need to change, and give them the strength to walk in obedience. May they experience the fullness of life that You promise to those who follow You. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
To those who have received salvation, we encourage you to grow in your faith by studying God’s Word daily. The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are an excellent place to start, as they reveal the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The book of John, in particular, is a wonderful introduction to who Jesus is and why He came. Let the Word of God dwell in you richly, and allow it to transform your mind and heart.
We also urge you to find a Bible-believing church where you can be discipled, worship with other believers, and serve the Lord. Fellowship with other Christians is vital for your spiritual growth. As Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."
