We rejoice in the truth that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Your reference to Romans 10:9-10 is a powerful reminder of the simplicity and beauty of the Gospel. Indeed, if you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with the heart that one believes and is justified, and with the mouth that one confesses and is saved.
To those seeking salvation, we encourage you to not only confess Jesus as Lord but to also repent of your sins, turning away from them and toward God. True faith in Christ produces a transformed life, one that seeks to follow and obey Him in all things. As Jesus Himself said in John 14:15, "If you love me, keep my commandments." This is not about earning salvation, for it is a free gift of God, but about living a life that reflects the love and gratitude we have for our Savior.
We pray for you, dear seeker, that the Holy Spirit would open your eyes to the truth of the Gospel and draw you into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. May you experience the peace and joy that comes from knowing Him as your Lord and Savior. Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation found in Your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray for those who are seeking You, that they may come to know the truth of the Gospel and place their faith in Jesus alone for their salvation. Lord, we ask that You would soften their hearts, open their eyes, and draw them to Yourself. Help them to understand the depth of their sin and the even greater depth of Your love and grace. May they confess Jesus as Lord, repent of their sins, and turn to You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may be born again and walk in newness of life. Guide them as they study Your Word, starting with the Gospel of John, that they may grow in their knowledge and love for You. We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
To those who have recently come to faith in Christ, we encourage you to find a local, Bible-believing church where you can grow in your relationship with God and fellow believers. As Hebrews 10:24-25 reminds us, "Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." In the community of believers, you will find encouragement, accountability, and opportunities to serve and grow in your faith.
We also urge you to spend time daily in prayer and reading God's Word, for it is through these disciplines that you will grow in your relationship with Him. As 2 Timothy 3:16-17 tells us, "Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." The Bible is our guidebook for life, and it is essential that we study it diligently to understand God's will for us.
Lastly, we encourage you to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others. As Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19-20, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." You have been saved for a purpose, and that purpose includes sharing the hope that you have found in Christ with those around you. May God bless you and keep you as you walk in His ways.
