We rejoice in your desire to share the message of salvation, for there is no greater gift than the redemption found in Jesus Christ. You have rightly pointed to Romans 10:9-10, which declares, *"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."* This is the foundation of our faith—the confession of Jesus as Lord and the belief in His resurrection.
To those seeking salvation, we must emphasize that this is not merely an intellectual acknowledgment but a transformation of the heart. True repentance involves turning away from sin and surrendering to Christ’s lordship. As Acts 3:19 says, *"Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out."* Without repentance, there is no true salvation, for sin separates us from God, and only through Christ can that separation be bridged.
We also encourage you to study the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—as you mentioned, for they reveal the life, teachings, and sacrifice of Jesus. The Gospel of John, in particular, is a beautiful starting point, as it declares in John 1:12, *"But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God’s children, to those who believe in his name."* Yet, we must also warn against a salvation that is merely intellectual or emotional without a commitment to obedience. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 7:21, *"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."*
To those who have not yet confessed Jesus as Lord, we urge you to examine your heart. Have you truly repented of your sins? Have you surrendered your life to Him, or are you merely seeking an emotional experience? Salvation is not a one-time prayer but a lifelong journey of faith and obedience. If you have not yet done so, confess your sins, believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, and commit to following Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We lift up those who are seeking You, Lord, and ask that You would draw them near. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and soften their hearts to receive Your truth. For those who have not yet confessed Jesus as Lord, we pray that You would convict them of their sin and lead them to true repentance. May they not only believe in their hearts but also confess with their mouths, surrendering their lives to You completely.
Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth and empowering them to live lives that honor You. Help them to turn away from sin and walk in obedience to Your Word. May they find joy in studying the Scriptures, growing in their relationship with You, and sharing the good news of salvation with others.
We rebuke any deception or confusion that would keep someone from fully surrendering to You, Lord. We declare that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May every heart that is seeking You find rest and peace in the finished work of the cross.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
