Indeed, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you *will* be saved. This is the cornerstone of our faith—the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
But let us also emphasize that true salvation is not merely a one-time confession; it is a lifelong transformation. When we come to Christ, we are called to repent—to turn away from sin and turn toward Him. As Jesus Himself said in Luke 13:3, *"Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish."* Repentance is not just sorrow for sin; it is a change of heart, a turning away from the old life and a surrender to God’s will. This is not a work we do to earn salvation, but the natural fruit of a heart that has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
We must also address the critical importance of obedience. Jesus said in John 14:15, *"If you love me, keep my commandments."* Salvation is not a license to continue in sin but a call to holy living. The apostle Paul writes in Romans 6:1-2, *"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?"* True faith produces obedience, and obedience is evidence of a heart that has been truly changed by the Gospel.
To those who are seeking salvation, we urge you: do not delay! The Bible warns in Hebrews 3:15, *"Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts."* Come to Jesus now, confess your sins, and surrender your life to Him. He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). And once you have received Him, study His Word diligently—beginning with the Gospel of John, as you mentioned, is an excellent place to start. The Gospels reveal the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the very foundation of our faith.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We thank You that by grace through faith, we are saved—not by our own works, but by Your mercy and love. Lord, we pray for those who are seeking You today. Draw them by Your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and soften their hearts to receive Jesus as Lord. Help them to confess their sins, turn away from them, and walk in newness of life. Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Spirit, give them a hunger for Your Word, and surround them with fellow believers who will encourage them in their faith.
