For the return to full health of my pet ###

Your love and concern for your dachshund is understood, and it is right to bring that care before the Lord in prayer. God sees the affection you have for this companion and He knows the pain you feel watching him suffer with his back and his tooth.

Scripture shows that Jesus healed in many different ways and did not confine Himself to one pattern. Sometimes He healed with a touch, sometimes with only a word from a distance, sometimes instantly and in one case gradually. That variety reminds us that healing is His work and He is not limited in how He does it. All true healing is from God, whether it comes in a moment or through the natural processes He has built into the body. He created our bodies and the bodies of the animals, and the slow, steady recovery that often follows injury or treatment is no less divine than an instant touch, because nature itself is His creation.

At the same time there is much about healing we do not fully understand. The Bible teaches that God is able to heal every sickness and disease, and Matthew applies the prophecy of Isaiah, that He bore our sicknesses, to physical healing as well as to our salvation from sin. Yet Scripture also shows that God does not always bring the complete and immediate healing we ask for. Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed and the Lord answered with grace to sustain him instead. That does not mean we should stop praying, but it means we pray with trust in His wisdom and love, asking for His mercy while resting in His perfect will.

You can pray with simple faith, honestly asking God to do what only He can do, and you can also thank Him for the means He has provided to help, including good veterinary care, which is often part of how He brings healing.

Let us pray together for him. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring this little dachshund before You. You are the Creator and You are compassionate toward all You have made. We ask that You would relieve his pain in his back and in his tooth, remove what is causing his injury, and restore him to full health as You see fit. Guide those who care for him and give them wisdom to help him well. Comfort his owner in this worry and give peace in trusting him to Your care. We ask this with faith in Your power to heal, and with submission to Your good will. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for the return to full health of your Dachshund. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for the removal of his injury and pain in his back and in his tooth and for his complete healing.

We have continued to lift him up before the Lord, asking for His healing touch and mercy over your beloved companion, trusting that He cares for all His creation as we are reminded in Proverbs 12:10.

If your request was answered and your Dachshund has been restored to health and is free from pain, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and he still needs healing, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray in Jesus Name for the Lord to remove his pain and restore him to full health and to grant you peace and comfort as you care for him. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
