We join with you in this beautiful and scripturally rich prayer and we say amen to the goal you have lifted up, that the goal of our instruction is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience and sincere faith 1 Tim 1:5. We love how you have expressed the desire for that love to be purified and without contradiction, and we agree that this is the true fruit of sound teaching, not mere knowledge that puffs up but love that builds up 1 Cor 8:1.

We thank the Father with you that the hour has come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshipers John 4:23. We rejoice that we are not limited to a mountain or a temple, but through Jesus we may draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need Heb 4:16. We agree with your illustration, for we are dependent as branches abiding in the vine, for apart from Him we can do nothing John 15:5, and yet as we remain in Him we naturally bear fruit as the sap of His life flows through us John 15:1-2. This is the freedom we have apart from the law of Moses, for His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness 2 Pet 1:3.

We pray together now for what you have asked.

Father, we thank You for Your mercy and grace through Jesus Christ our merciful and faithful high priest Heb 4:15, the one mediator between God and men 1 Tim 2:5, the priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek Ps 110:4, Heb 7:17. We come in His name alone, for whatever we ask in His name He will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son John 14:13-14. We ask that You fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that we may walk worthily of You, to please You in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God Col 1:9-10, and that You would make us to stand perfect and complete in all the will of God Col 4:12. Grant us diligence to present ourselves approved by God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth 2 Tim 2:15, so that we do not teach error and misrepresent Your perfect character.

We ask for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, that the eyes of our hearts may be enlightened to know You Eph 1:17, and that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith, to the end that we may be rooted and grounded in love and know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that we may be filled with all the fullness of God Eph 3:16-19. Let Your love abound in us more and more in knowledge and all discernment Phil 1:9, that we may learn to be diligent in good works to meet pressing needs Titus 3:14, and to be fellow workers with You 1 Cor 3:9, bearing lasting fruit that remains John 15:16.

We thank You for drawing near to us as we draw near to You James 4:8, for restoring to us our first love Rev 2:4, and for giving us grace to tend the vineyard You have given us Song 1:6 and to cultivate and keep the garden You entrusted to us Gen 2:15. We ask for Your order and clarity, for You are not a God of confusion, but of peace 1 Cor 14:33, and for simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ 2 Cor 11:3, and for sweet fellowship with You and with one another 1 John 1:3. Let unity and zeal abound in our churches, families and teams as we freely receive and freely give Matt 10:8.

We also ask for Your protection, for You give Your angels charge over us to guard us in all our ways Ps 91:11 and they are ministering spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation Heb 1:14. Keep us from temptation and deliver us from the evil one Matt 6:13, John 17:15, and keep us from stumbling blocks Rom 14:13, from causing others to stumble 1 Cor 8:9, and from every form of deception and evil 2 Tim 3:13, 2 Thess 3:2. Guard our lips from lies and our hearts from fear, that we may be found without deceit Zeph 3:13, and keep us from the evil one so that he does not touch us 1 John 5:18. Restore to us the joy of Your salvation, and uphold us with a willing spirit, that we may teach transgressors Your ways and sinners may be converted to You Ps 51:12-13, as we proclaim repentance and remission of sins in His name to all nations Luke 24:47, so that many may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and believing may have life in His name John 20:31.

We thank You that we can pray with thanksgiving and let our requests be made known to You, and Your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus Phil 4:6-7. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our only mediator and great high priest, amen.

We appreciate the heart in your prayer, wanting all your teaching and learning to lead to real love from a pure heart, sincere faith and a good conscience, and wanting to walk in a way that is worthy of Jesus in your churches, families and teams.

What you describe, freely receiving grace so you can freely give it and bear lasting fruit, is a lifelong process more than a single moment. Growth tends to happen gradually, almost imperceptibly, with highs and lows, and it looks a little different for each person because God works uniquely in each life. The steady means He uses are familiar ones, time in His Word, honest prayer, worship that lifts our eyes off ourselves and sets us among His people, all dependent on the Holy Spirit who alone makes things grow. We hear your desire to handle His Word accurately and to know and live out His will, and that desire itself is something God honors and shapes over time as you stay close to Him.

It helps to think of this as training rather than trying, like preparing for a long race. Small faithful steps over time matter more than trying to do everything at once.

If it would help this week, you might choose just one priority you named, perhaps tending your own vineyard first or a set time for study and prayer, and one simple way to serve your team or family out of what you receive, trusting the Lord with the rest.

Father, we thank You for Your nearness and for the mercy and confidence we have through Jesus our mediator. Give our friend wisdom for what is most needed right now, strength to walk worthily, and let unity, love and zeal abound where You have placed him. Keep him from stumbling and from evil, and draw him deeper into Your love that he may share it freely. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have read your prayer with thankfulness and join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.

Your desire for love from a pure heart, for faith without contradiction and for a good conscience is itself a blessed sign of the mysterious working of the Spirit of God within. For the whole scheme of salvation from first to last hinges upon the absolute will of God and not upon the will of the creature, and yet that willingness to live by a holy life, resting upon the atonement of Christ and in the power of the Spirit, is evidence that He is at work in you.

We praise God with you that in Christ we have a merciful and sympathetic High Priest, the one Mediator between God and man, the Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. In Him we see God's Salvation itself, not only the Worker of it but the Salvation itself. Wherever our eyes spiritually light upon Christ, there we see God's Salvation. Through His blood we may come freely and apart from the law, as you have said, to receive mercy and find abundant grace to help in time of need, even as the branch receives sap from the vine. Look to the wounds of Christ, they will heal your wounds. Look to His death and life, and you will find strength for every need.

We join you in asking the Father that you may worship Him in spirit and in truth in every place, that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, and walk worthy of the Lord, bearing lasting fruit that remains. May the Lord grant you grace and discipline to study His Word from first to last, believing it from the first word of Genesis to the last line of Revelation, for it will never mislead you. May He give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know Christ and to know the breadth and length and depth and height of His love.

We pray also with you for your churches, families and teams, that unity, love and zeal may abound, that all things may be done with clarity and order, and that your fellowship with the Trinity and with one another may be sweet and steadfast. We ask that the Lord would keep you from temptation and deliver you from evil, from stumbling blocks and from the snares of the evil one, and that He would preserve you in simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.

May you be kept always dependent upon His providential will, saying in all your plans, if it is the will of God we will do this or that, and content to leave all the way from earth to heaven in His hands, living a day at a time under His guidance. Grace be yours and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, for grace is the fountain and peace the stream.

We commend you to Him who is able to keep you, trusting that He who has begun a good work will perfect it, and that beholding the glory of God in the face of Christ Jesus will be to you as light sufficient for every step, until faith becomes sight.

In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and our great High Priest, Amen.
