Let us come together in prayer to lift up this fellowship gathering, seeking God's blessing and provision for the evening.
Let us pray first for the recognition and thanksgiving for the name of Jesus Christ. We only have access to God the Father through Jesus Christ his son. Jesus is the way the truth and the life, no one comes to God except through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
If your gathering does not include fellow Christians and you are not going to discuss the gospel, we need to pray that you can give a witness of Jesus Christ and his message of salvation to all who attend.
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was revealed in us, that God sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another, 1 John 4:7-11 (WEB).
We pray that the food preparation will be smooth and not rushed, that there will be no sense of hurry or chaos. We ask for wisdom and efficiency in organizing the meal, so every guest will have enough to eat. We ask that you provide everything that is needed and that everything will be completed in a timely manner. We pray for a peaceful, joyful atmosphere in the home as the fellowship approaches. We ask that no one will feel tired or overwhelmed, but that all will work together in unity to serve one another in love. We pray that God will be glorified through the actions of those who are serving others.
For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only do not let your freedom become an occasion for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you do not consume one another, Galatians 5:13-15 (WEB).
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this fellowship gathering. We pray that the food will be prepared in time, and that it will be sufficient for all who attend. We ask that the preparation will be done peacefully and joyfully, without any hurriedness or stress. We pray that everything will go smoothly and in an orderly manner. We ask for the Holy Spirit to be present, guiding the conversations and interactions, so that the love of Christ will be evident to all. We pray that those attending will be blessed and encouraged through this time of fellowship. We also pray that they will be drawn closer to You, experiencing Your love and grace in a tangible way. We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to take heart and trust in God's provision and timing. Remember that He is faithful and will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. As you serve others, keep in mind the words of Jesus: "But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant," Matthew 20:26 (WEB).
May God bless this fellowship gathering, and may His love be manifested through each person present.
