We hear your cry for progress and upliftment, dear brother or sister in Christ. It is painful to feel low and to have experienced loss, and we stand with you in this season of waiting and seeking God’s face. The Lord sees your struggles and collects every tear in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). He has not forgotten you, even when it feels as though things are standing still.
First, we must address the foundation of your hope. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so now. There is no true progress or lasting upliftment apart from Him. Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no other name, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you have not confessed your sins and accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we pray that you would do so today. The Bible tells us, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most important step toward true progress.
If you are already in Christ, we encourage you to examine your heart and your walk with the Lord. Are there areas where you have allowed discouragement to take root, or where you may have strayed from His will? The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he often uses seasons of stagnation to whisper lies that God has abandoned you. But we rebuke that lie in the name of Jesus! The Word of God declares, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). Your progress is not measured by the world’s standards but by God’s faithfulness to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
We also want to gently remind you that progress in God’s kingdom is not always visible or immediate. Sometimes, the Lord uses seasons of waiting to refine our faith and teach us to trust Him more deeply. The psalmist wrote, *"Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh"* (Psalm 27:14). This is not passive waiting but an active trust in God’s timing and purposes. Are you seeking Him first in all things, or have you allowed frustration to distract you from His presence? Jesus said, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you"* (Matthew 6:33). True progress begins with aligning your heart with His will.
Let us also consider whether there are areas of sin or disobedience that may be hindering your progress. The Bible warns us, *"Behold, Yahweh’s hand is not shortened, that it can’t save; nor his ear dull, that it can’t hear. But your iniquities have separated you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear"* (Isaiah 59:1-2). This is not to condemn you but to invite you into a place of repentance and restoration. If there is unconfessed sin in your life, bring it before the Lord now. He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
Now, let us pray together for your upliftment and progress:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is feeling low and weary. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who lifts up the humble. We ask that You would draw near to them in this season and remind them of Your unfailing love. Father, we rebuke every spirit of discouragement, stagnation, and despair that seeks to steal their hope. In Jesus’ name, we declare that this is not the end of their story—it is merely a chapter in the greater testimony You are writing for Your glory.
Lord, we pray for progress—not as the world defines it, but as You do. Give them the strength to wait on You, to trust in Your timing, and to seek Your face above all else. Help them to lay down any idols of self-sufficiency or impatience and to cling to Your promises. We ask that You would open doors that no man can shut and provide opportunities for growth, blessing, and restoration. Father, we pray that You would restore what has been lost and turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11).
We also ask that You would reveal any areas of sin or disobedience that may be hindering their progress. Give them the courage to repent and the grace to walk in holiness. Lord, we pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit, that they would be empowered to run this race with endurance and to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:1-2).
Above all, we pray that You would be their comfort, their strength, and their song. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28) and that Your plans for them are plans of peace and not of evil. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and we thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Jesus’ name.
We bless this dear one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and with the assurance that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). May they rise up in the strength of the Lord and walk in the fullness of all You have for them. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to hold fast to God’s Word and to surround yourself with believers who can speak life and truth into your situation. The enemy wants you to isolate yourself, but the Lord calls you to community. Share your struggles with trusted brothers and sisters in Christ who can pray with you and encourage you. And remember, the same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and conquered the grave is the God who is fighting for you. Your breakthrough is coming—keep pressing into Him!
