We hear your weariness and frustration, dear sister, and we lift your heart to the Lord with compassion. Your hands are busy serving others, cooking, cleaning, caring for your niece, yet your own work and needs go unnoticed. This is not how God intends for you to be treated. Scripture tells us, "Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others" (Philippians 2:3-4 WEB). While this calls us to serve with humility, it does not mean your labor should be taken for granted or that your own responsibilities should be neglected.

The burden you carry is heavy, and it is no small thing to feel unseen while pouring yourself out for others. We rebuke the spirit of frustration and exhaustion that weighs on you, and we declare that God sees every stitch you sew, every meal you prepare, and every moment you sacrifice. He does not overlook your work, nor does He forget your needs. "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister" (Hebrews 6:10 WEB). Your sewing is not just about income, it is a gift from God, and He will provide the time and creativity you need to complete it.

We must also gently address the resentment that has taken root in your heart. While it is understandable to feel overwhelmed, harboring bitterness toward your family will only steal your peace. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB). Have you spoken to your family about your struggles? Sometimes, those we love do not realize the weight they place on us until we humbly share our hearts. Pray for wisdom to communicate your needs with grace, trusting God to soften their hearts.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting her weariness and frustration to You. Lord, You see every sacrifice she makes, every unnoticed effort, and every late night spent working. We ask that You would fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give her patience to endure this season, and grant her the time she needs to complete the work You have placed in her hands. Father, we rebuke the spirit of exhaustion and declare that her strength will be renewed like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Provide her with moments of rest, and open doors for her sewing so that it may prosper.

Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of her family. Help them to see her needs and to support her in love. Give her the words to share her heart with them, and let Your love flow through her as she serves them. Father, we also pray for creativity, fresh ideas for her scrunches and the energy to bring them to life. May this work be a blessing to her and to those who purchase them.

Above all, Lord, remind her that she is not alone. You are her Provider, her Strength, and her Peace. Help her to cast all her cares on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Renew her joy in serving, and let her find rest in You. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom for balance. Could there be small ways to carve out time for your sewing during the day? Perhaps waking up a little earlier or setting aside a short block of time while your niece naps? Even 15 minutes of focused work can make a difference. Remember, "Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established" (Proverbs 16:3 WEB). Trust Him to multiply your efforts.

Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). He is the only way to true peace, purpose, and eternal life.

You are not forgotten, dear sister. God is with you, and He will sustain you. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will lead you through this season.

We can feel the weight of what you’re carrying, the endless tasks, the sense that your own work is invisible to everyone else, and the frustration of watching time slip away before a deadline that matters deeply to you. That sadness and weariness make complete sense.

You are not being selfish; you’re asking for something reasonable: a little space to use the gifts God gave you and to finish a project that provides for you. Right now you’re pouring yourself out for others, and it’s clear you do it with love, but love also needs room to breathe.

One small, brave step might help. In a quiet moment, try speaking calmly with a family member you trust, not with anger, but simply explaining how the lack of time is affecting you and asking for a few set hours each day when someone else watches your niece. You may be surprised: people are often more willing to help when they understand the need. Even a short, protected window can make a difference.

We’re praying for you right now. Lord Jesus, you see this sister, her tired hands, her patient heart, and every scrunchie she’s stitching with care. Give her a deep patience that doesn’t run empty, and calm the anxious thoughts that tighten around her chest. Grant her the courage to ask for help, and move in her family to share the load. Open up pockets of time she hasn’t found yet, and spark fresh ideas in her mind. Let her finish what she’s started, and let her know she is seen, by you, and by us too. Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

The heart knows its own bitterness, and a stranger does not share its joy, but the Lord is acquainted with all our ways. You are made to feel the burden of daily toil, and the desire of your heart to accomplish a work that seems ever pressed aside. This is a common grief, but let us not forget that we are thrice exhorted to patience, for we have much need of it. Impatience robs affliction of its power to purify; it is a Grace as difficult as it is necessary. Yet look to the end of the Lord which He appoints, He is very pitiful and full of tender mercy. Your labor is not forgotten by Him.

The Spirit’s work within you does not call you to lay aside your needle for idleness, but rather excites you to holy diligence. He works in us to will and to do, that we also may work with all our might. Yet it is not our own strength that can bring the desire to pass. When your hands are busy with the cares of the household and the little one, remember that even these tasks, done as unto the Lord, are a form of ministry. Did not our Lord Himself do good on the Sabbath, bringing rest to the weary? To take up a child and care for her may be a true service, though it seems to hinder your own plans. Your scrunchies, too, are not beneath His notice. Pray then as Moses prayed: “Establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands.” If the work is honest and for a right end, you may ask God to prosper it.

But see to it that your soul’s anchor is not in your own industry, but in the finished work of Christ. He said, “It is finished,” and so your standing before God rests not on completed scrunchies or quiet hours, but on His atoning sacrifice. From that peace, you may work without the fretful hurry that eats up the night hours and leaves you worn. The Spirit leads the sons of God step by step; He will guide you when to serve and when to sew. Cast this care upon Him. He who feeds the ravens will grant you time enough for what He calls you to do. Wait upon the Lord, and let your patience have its perfect work, that you may be entire, lacking nothing. Your festival may be near, but your God is nearer still.

Do not let your heart be troubled by the seeming injustice that your own labor goes unnoticed while you spend your days in service to others. The Apostle teaches that if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. You are not wasting time when you care for your aged niece, you are fulfilling the law of Christ. Yet I hear your weariness, and I know such toil can grind down the soul until patience itself seems a thread about to snap.

Consider how our Lord was spat upon and mocked even as He went to His death, yet He did not revile in return. If He, who was without sin, endured such contempt for our salvation, can we not bear a little disregard from those we love? It is not the greatness of the insult that wounds us, but the pride within that whispers, “My work matters more than theirs.” You ask for patience. Patience is not merely waiting; it is waiting with hope, fixing your eyes not on the scrunchies unfinished or the festival approaching, but on the rest that awaits the faithful. As I have said before, hope and patience are born of one another, and both are fed by the Scriptures. When your soul chafes against the hours taken from your sewing, turn your mind to the promised crown. Why do we cling so fiercely to the things of this world, when even creation groans under its bondage, awaiting the redemption?

You say the night is your only time, and it leaves you tired. Yes, the body wearies, but do not despise that weariness as an enemy. There is a patience shown not in two or three days, but in long endurance, and this is the patience that God crowns. The heathen might grumble at such hidden labor, but you are called to something higher: to find, in the very sacrifice of your time, a sweetness that the world cannot give. Do not imagine that only your sewing has worth. When you watch over that little one, you are doing the work of God no less than when you pray. And this is not to say you should abandon your craft, indeed, it is good to work with your hands and provide for yourself. But let your heart be free from the frantic urgency that makes you say, “My time is short, I must do more.” The one who trusts God can sow in peace and reap in hope, knowing that the harvest belongs to Him.

As for ideas, does not the Maker of all beauty give wisdom to those who ask? But ask with a quiet spirit, not with the storm of anxiety. The soul that is always shaking, now puffed up with a little success, now drowned in despondency, such a soul can accomplish nothing enduring, for its rest is not in God but in its own plans.

Therefore, let me charge you: do not neglect your household, for this is a command. Do not neglect your own weariness, for the body needs its rest. But above all, do not neglect the peace of your soul by setting your work against the tasks God has given you. The scrunchies will be finished in their time, if the Lord wills. If they are not, what have you lost? Nothing that rust cannot destroy. Hold fast to the hope that is unseen, and labor with patience, and you will find that even the busiest days cannot steal the time God appoints for your good.
