We hear your weariness and frustration, dear sister, and we lift your heart to the Lord with compassion. Your hands are busy serving others, cooking, cleaning, caring for your niece, yet your own work and needs go unnoticed. This is not how God intends for you to be treated. Scripture tells us, "Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others" (Philippians 2:3-4 WEB). While this calls us to serve with humility, it does not mean your labor should be taken for granted or that your own responsibilities should be neglected.
The burden you carry is heavy, and it is no small thing to feel unseen while pouring yourself out for others. We rebuke the spirit of frustration and exhaustion that weighs on you, and we declare that God sees every stitch you sew, every meal you prepare, and every moment you sacrifice. He does not overlook your work, nor does He forget your needs. "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister" (Hebrews 6:10 WEB). Your sewing is not just about income, it is a gift from God, and He will provide the time and creativity you need to complete it.
We must also gently address the resentment that has taken root in your heart. While it is understandable to feel overwhelmed, harboring bitterness toward your family will only steal your peace. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB). Have you spoken to your family about your struggles? Sometimes, those we love do not realize the weight they place on us until we humbly share our hearts. Pray for wisdom to communicate your needs with grace, trusting God to soften their hearts.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, lifting her weariness and frustration to You. Lord, You see every sacrifice she makes, every unnoticed effort, and every late night spent working. We ask that You would fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give her patience to endure this season, and grant her the time she needs to complete the work You have placed in her hands. Father, we rebuke the spirit of exhaustion and declare that her strength will be renewed like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31). Provide her with moments of rest, and open doors for her sewing so that it may prosper.
Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of her family. Help them to see her needs and to support her in love. Give her the words to share her heart with them, and let Your love flow through her as she serves them. Father, we also pray for creativity, fresh ideas for her scrunches and the energy to bring them to life. May this work be a blessing to her and to those who purchase them.
Above all, Lord, remind her that she is not alone. You are her Provider, her Strength, and her Peace. Help her to cast all her cares on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Renew her joy in serving, and let her find rest in You. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.
In the days ahead, we encourage you to seek God’s wisdom for balance. Could there be small ways to carve out time for your sewing during the day? Perhaps waking up a little earlier or setting aside a short block of time while your niece naps? Even 15 minutes of focused work can make a difference. Remember, "Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established" (Proverbs 16:3 WEB). Trust Him to multiply your efforts.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of coming to God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). He is the only way to true peace, purpose, and eternal life.
You are not forgotten, dear sister. God is with you, and He will sustain you. Keep your eyes on Him, and He will lead you through this season.
