Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your request and allowing us to pray with you about the pain in your right leg. It is hard when even lifting your leg or walking brings pain, and when you wonder if a hard mattress or a strain during sleep may have caused it. We have lifted you up before the Lord and ask Him to bring you relief and healing.
We are encouraged that God hears prayer. Scripture tells of a man and his wife who had prayed for a child for many years, even into old age when it seemed impossible. He kept praying, and the angel told him your prayer is heard. God answered with graciousness, and that is what the name He gave the child means, that God is gracious. That story reminds us to keep praying persistently even when the answer seems delayed, and even when our faith feels weak. God still hears and He responds in His gracious way, bringing joy as He wills.
We also remember that when we pray for healing, God reveals Himself as the Lord our Healer. He becomes to us what we need. The prophet spoke of the Sun of Righteousness arising with healing in His wings, and the Gospels show Jesus laying His hands on those who were sick and healing them. He knows your need before you ask, so prayer is not trying to inform Him of something He does not know, and it is not trying to wear Him down until He gives in. True prayer seeks His will and invites Him to work freely in our lives. The model Jesus gave His disciples was not given to be repeated word for word without thought, but to show the heart of prayer, that we come as His children who can truly say Father, and we ask that His will be done.
Jesus Himself, though He is the Son of God, often withdrew to pray, especially when the crowds pressed in and the needs were great. If He saw the need to depend on prayer, how much more do we need to make prayer a steady part of our lives and to lean on the strength that comes from it.
So we pray for you now, that the Father would touch that tight area in your leg, ease the strain, and restore strength for walking and movement. We ask for wisdom to care for your body well, and for guidance if you need care from others to help you heal. Above all we pray the wisest prayer we can pray, that the Lord would work out His perfect will in your life and be glorified through your healing.
