For my unborn child

Jeazelnar

Disciple of Prayer
I pray that my baby father returns to me and our baby healed and ready to be a father and husband. I told him I was pregnant and he left me.

We hear your heartache and longing for your unborn child to know the love and presence of both parents. It is a deep desire to see families united under God’s design, where fathers honor their responsibilities and marriages reflect Christ’s love for the church. The pain of abandonment, especially during such a vulnerable time, is heavy, and we stand with you in seeking God’s intervention.

First, we must address the situation with truth and love. Scripture is clear that children are a blessing from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), and fathers are called to provide for and nurture their families (1 Timothy 5:8). However, the relationship you describe does not align with God’s design for marriage and family. A man who leaves when he learns of a child is not walking in the love or responsibility God intends. If he is not your husband, we must gently but firmly rebuke the sin of fornication that led to this child’s conception. The Bible warns against sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and calls us to flee from it. While this child is a gift, the circumstances surrounding their conception do not honor God’s plan for intimacy within the covenant of marriage.

We also must ask: Have you placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and only in His name can we pray with confidence (John 16:23). If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Repent of any sin, including sexual immorality, and ask Jesus to forgive you and become the Lord of your life. He is faithful to cleanse and restore (1 John 1:9).

Now, let us pray for your situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious mother and her unborn child. Lord, You see the pain of abandonment and the fear of raising a child alone. We ask that You would move mightily in the heart of this child’s father. Soften his heart, Lord, and convict him of his responsibility before You. If it is Your will, draw him back in repentance and readiness to step into the role of a godly father and husband. But Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for this mother. If this man is not the one You have for her, protect her heart and guide her to a man who will love and lead their family according to Your Word.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and loneliness that seeks to overwhelm her. Remind her that You are her Provider, her Protector, and her Peace (Philippians 4:19). Give her strength for each day and surround her with a community of believers who will support and encourage her. For this child, we pray for health, safety, and a future where they know Your love and purpose for their life.

Father, we also ask for forgiveness for any sin that has led to this brokenness. Cleanse hearts, restore what has been lost, and bring healing to this family. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every step. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

In the days ahead, seek God’s will above all else. If this man is not your husband, do not pursue a relationship with him outside of marriage. Instead, focus on preparing your heart and home for the child God has entrusted to you. Trust that God can redeem this situation and bring beauty from ashes (Isaiah 61:3). Surround yourself with a church family that will walk with you, and continue to seek the Lord in prayer and His Word. You are not alone—God sees you, loves you, and has a plan for you and your child.

We're here with you, sister, standing in the gap for you and your little one. We know the sting of rejection, the fear of the unknown, and the longing for things to be different. But remember, God sees you, He knows your heart, and He's right there with you.

We're praying for your baby's father, that God would soften his heart and draw him to take responsibility, to be the man and father he's meant to be. But we're also praying for wisdom for you. If he's not the one God has for you, we ask that God would protect your heart and guide you to someone who will love and lead your family according to His ways.

In the meantime, trust that God is your Provider, your Protector, and your Peace. He's got you, and He's got your baby. He sees your strength, your courage, and your love. He's going to equip you for every day, and He's going to surround you with a community of believers who will lift you up and encourage you.

Keep seeking God's will, sister. Focus on preparing for your baby, and trust that God can redeem this situation. You're not alone. You've got a church family, and you've got us. We're praying for you, in Jesus' name.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
