For luck

We have read your request for luck and we want to pray with you and gently share what Scripture teaches about this.

In the Bible there is no such thing as luck or chance that operates apart from God. What the world calls luck is really under the sovereign hand and providence of God. We are taught that every good thing comes from Him and not from random fortune. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness or shadow due to change James 1:17. Even what seems random is governed by Him, for The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from Yahweh Proverbs 16:33. To seek luck is to trust in superstition or chance, but we are called to trust in the living God who loves us and knows what is best for us.

We understand that behind a request for luck there is often a deeper need, a desire for favor, success, protection, provision, or peace about the future. God invites us to bring those needs directly to Him rather than hoping in luck. For we know that For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. And We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. He also promises My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. So instead of asking for luck, we ask for His wisdom, His favor, and His will to be done in your life.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share why His name is essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and can be heard in prayer. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To trust in luck leaves us without hope, but to trust in Jesus gives us forgiveness of sins, peace with God, and eternal life. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name in repentance and faith.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You forgive any reliance on luck or superstition and draw this heart to trust fully in You. We pray that You reveal Yourself as the source of every good gift and that You grant favor, wisdom, and guidance according to Your perfect will. Provide for every need, guard from evil, and give peace that surpasses understanding. Lead this life away from chance and into Your purpose, and if this one does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that today would be the day of salvation, to believe on Him and be saved. We ask that Your will be done and that You be glorified in all things. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We noticed your short request for luck and we have been praying for you. Wanting things to turn out well is so understandable, especially when the outcome feels out of your hands.

In our faith we do not see life as ruled by chance, but as held by a loving God who sees you and cares about what you are carrying. That does not mean every hope unfolds just as we wish, but it does mean you are not at the mercy of luck. You are known and accompanied by One who understands your needs and walks with you through both good days and hard ones.

When worry about the outcome rises, it can help to pause and name the specific situation before God in your own honest words, what you are hoping for, what you fear, and where you need wisdom. It can also steady you to share that concern with a trusted pastor or friend who can pray with you personally and stay with you in it.

Father, we lift this person to You. You know the situation behind this request and what is weighing on their heart. Grant peace where there is anxiety, wisdom for next steps, and a clear sense of Your presence and care. Provide what is needed according to Your goodness. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is no such thing as mere luck under heaven, for all things are ordered by the wise and holy Providence of God. You have asked for luck, and we cannot ask the Lord to give you luck, for no spiritual blessing comes to any man by chance. What men call luck is but a word for chance, and chance has no place in the government of God.

Providence is like a wheel, and in that wheel there is an axle which never moves. That axle is the purpose and love of God, which abides fast while all else turns. Providence cannot be directed by man, it can only be controlled by God, and it is intricate beyond our sight, yet every turn is guided by His hand. It was not luck that met you this day, but Providence that has brought your request before us, that we might point you to something better than fortune.

The goodness of God is not a mere wish, but beneficence and good doing. Like manna it must come fresh and fresh, and the blessing is that it does come fresh and fresh from His own heart. The reason for His mercy lies not in man, but in His own heart, and He has blessed His people just where they most needed blessing, where they were poorest in spiritual things. The double blessing of grace and peace comes from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, not from fortune.

So we will pray for you, not for luck, but that you may know the true blessing. We will pray that you may be brought to repentance through faith in Christ, for there is joy in the presence of the angels when sinners repent, and that you may receive the blessing which God pronounces Himself, Surely blessing I will bless you. May He give you His own presence, which is the greatest blessing of all, and daily load you with benefits, and keep you by His Providence until He brings you safely home. Seek not chance, but seek Christ, in whom are all blessings in heavenly places, and you shall find that what you need is not luck, but grace.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for luck has been heard and I am thankful you shared it. Scripture does not teach us to seek luck or chance, but to trust in the living God who governs all things with wisdom and love. What God offers is far better than luck. His Word speaks of every spiritual blessing in Christ, not merely outward or temporary good fortune. In Christ we are given forgiveness, adoption as sons and daughters, freedom, righteousness and the hope of eternal life, and these blessings come to us through Jesus alone as our mediator.

Jesus Himself said that in this world we will have tribulation, so our hope is not in favorable circumstances but in Him who reigns over all things and works all things for good for those who love Him. Therefore my prayer for you is not for luck, but that you would know God's presence, guidance and provision in whatever lies before you. I pray that He would grant you wisdom for your decisions, peace in uncertainty, strength to walk faithfully, and a deeper trust in His good providence. May He draw you to Himself and supply what you need according to His perfect will, and may you find your security not in chance but in Christ.

I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom all the promises and blessings of God find their fulfillment. Amen.

God does not work by luck or chance toward His people. His desire is to give real and lasting blessing, and that blessing does not come through rituals, good luck charms, or trying to earn His favor by what we do. Many cultures have tried to win favor through religious acts and duties, but that is not how God brings His goodness to us.

The Scripture shows that the law itself cannot bring blessing. When the people were told to stand on the two mountains, the mountain of blessing was silent while the mountain of cursing pronounced curse after curse upon disobedience. The law shows us our need, but it cannot make us blessed. Blessing comes another way, through Jesus Christ. We do not relate to God through our own works or our own righteousness. We relate to Him through His promises, received by faith.

God made a covenant of blessing with Abraham, saying in blessing I will bless you. He foresaw that people from every nation would be made right with Him through faith, and through Jesus that promise is opened to all who believe. By faith in Christ you become a child of Abraham, an heir of that same promise. It is not earned, it is received.

In Christ the blessing is rich and complete. The New Testament describes it as every spiritual blessing in Christ. Through His blood we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace. We are accepted in the Beloved, adopted into the family of God, given an inheritance, and sealed with the Holy Spirit who is the guarantee of all God has promised. This is far more than luck. This is a certain, personal, and abundant favor from a Father who loves to bless His children, so much that those who walk in it often feel overwhelmed by His goodness.

My prayer for you is not for luck, but for true blessing. I pray that you will know Jesus Christ as Savior and put your trust fully in Him, that you will turn from trusting in chance and turn to trusting in His promises, and that you will experience the forgiveness, peace, and hope that come only through Him. I pray that God will pour out His blessing upon your life in such a measure that you will know it comes from His hand, and that out of what you receive you will have much to share with others around you.
