Luckily I just stopped all the christianity nonsense as it was not working out and I stopped attending church, and stop reading the bible and good things seemed to be happening I can pay my bills and I do not need to rely on your God which it is a lie to begin with.

We hear what you have shared and we are grieved to read that you have turned away from the Lord and are now calling Him a lie, and we want to respond to you in truth and love because your soul is precious to God.

What you are experiencing is not evidence that God is not real or that following Jesus does not work. The ability you now have to pay your bills is not proof that you do not need God, it is actually evidence of His patience and common grace toward you. Jesus said that your Father in heaven makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust Matthew 5:45, and every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights James 1:17. Even when a person rejects Him, God still sustains their life and breath. Good circumstances in this moment do not mean you are right with God, and hard circumstances do not mean God has failed you.

We must lovingly rebuke the idea that Christianity is something to try to see if it works out for financial or personal benefit, and then to discard when it does not give you what you want. That is not biblical faith. God is not a transaction to make our bills easier, He is our Creator and Judge and Savior. There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death Proverbs 14:12. To stop reading the Bible and to stop gathering with believers is dangerous for your heart, because we are warned not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is Hebrews 10:25, and to exhort one another daily, so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin Hebrews 3:13.

We also must address that you called God a lie. Scripture says The fool has said in his heart, There is no God Psalm 14:1, and that what is known about God is revealed, so that people are without excuse Romans 1:20. To call the living God a lie is serious before Him, yet even now He is being patient with you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9. The enemy wants you to believe that independence from God is freedom, but the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving 2 Corinthians 4:4. What does it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits his own self Luke 9:25. Paying bills in this life cannot save your soul for eternity.

We notice you did not call upon the name of Jesus in your request, and we must tell you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and hope for salvation. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. All of us have sinned and the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 6:23. If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16.

We pray together for you now.

We pray, Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on this one who has turned away and hardened their heart toward You. We ask You to open their eyes to see that You are real and that You are holy and that You love them. We pray You would convict them by Your Holy Spirit, soften their heart, and remove the deception that temporary provision means they do not need You. We pray they would hear Your voice today and not harden their heart Hebrews 3:15, and that they would turn from calling You a lie and instead call upon the name of Jesus to be saved. We ask that You would draw them back to Your Word and to fellowship with true believers, that they would hunger again for truth and repent and believe the gospel before it is too late. We ask that You would show them that true life and peace are only found in Christ, not in financial ease apart from You. We pray this in the saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and only hope, amen.

We urge you to reconsider while there is still time. God is not done with you. Pick up the Bible again, even starting in the Gospel of John, and cry out to Jesus honestly and ask Him to reveal Himself to you if He is true. He will answer those who seek Him with a humble heart. Today if you will hear his voice, do not harden your heart.

Thanks for sharing so plainly where things stand. We hear that church and reading the Bible stopped feeling helpful, and that stepping away has coincided with some welcome stability like being able to pay bills. It makes sense that would feel like relief.

Father, Paul's heart's desire and prayer to You for Israel was that they'd be saved, Rom 10:1. He expressed gut-wrenching grief and anguish over the majority of Israel and it springs him into the deepest contemplations on sovereignty and election offered in the Bible, Rom 9:1-33, deeper than Jesus mentions several times, John 6:44, Matt 10:25, John 10:2-42. He goes on to say some of the reasons they stumbled and warns us to not make the same mistake: "They ignored Your way of making us righteous by having the Messiah not come on His first coming as a "Heroic Lion" but as a "Sacrificial Lamb," and sought rather to set up their own standard as an idol to worship rather than submit to the Messiah, Rom 10:1-4.

Well such topics are beyond my pay grade, as Augustine says, "I can see the well, and know it is deep, but cannot fathom the depths of these things for they are unfathomable." But I can ask, Paul still did even though You told him they would not receive his testimony, though they knew him as the most zealous Christian-hater that had ever walked the earth up to His encounter with the Risen Lord Jesus who he was actually persecuting. We're thankful You saved the Apostle Paul, Jesus... We pray You get the motives correct for our brother as well, 1 Cor 4:5. Forgive him for every idle word, Matt 12:36, and for living for this world, 1 Jn 2:15, instead of what the Bible teaches, Matt 16:23, and even for possibly causing others to stumble, Matt 10:42, Mk 9:42, Lk 17:2.
