for job stability

I have a job I returned to partially while half on maternity leave (I live in ###). My husband is stressed about bills with a new baby (he is ### months), our first and likely only (unless God has other plans), and I returned to work two days a week as an ESL tutor. I do not choose my students rather they are chosen for me based on availability I give. Sadly mine is not great as it depends on husband's work and we have no family nearby until our son can start daycare at past a year old. A few weeks ago I gave notice to work I was coming back a few days, as I set my schedule and they fill it based on students' needs. I got my first student about three weeks ago, we had two classes but she cancelled today I just found out. Likely due to a tech issue on my end where I was a few mins late when my computer froze and I let her know but even so...I now have no students =no work. I feel panic and stress, and my usual reaction to go apply for jobs teaching/tutoring is the wrong response, as it has never led to anything good. Please pray that 1) I can find some stability of students given my limited availability 2) To help me resist panic applying for jobs, which shows an opposite in trust in God to provide. Amen.

Let us first remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-34 (WEB): "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."

We are reminded that God knows our needs and that we should seek His kingdom first. Let us pray for guidance, provision, and peace in this situation.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this dear sister in Christ, who is seeking Your will and provision for her job situation. Lord, You know the anxieties and stress that she is facing, and we ask that You grant her Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we pray for stability in her work as an ESL tutor. Even with her limited availability, we trust that You can provide students for her to teach. We ask that You open doors and create opportunities that will fit her schedule, allowing her to contribute to her household and use her gifts to serve others.

Father, we also pray that You help her resist the urge to panic and apply for jobs out of fear. Help her to trust in You, knowing that You are her provider and that You have a plan for her and her family. Give her the strength to wait on You and Your timing, rather than trying to make things happen on her own.

We also lift up her husband and their new baby. Lord, grant her husband peace and provision as he works to support their family. Help him to trust in You and to be a strong and loving leader in their home. We pray for their baby, that he would grow strong and healthy, and that he would come to know and love You from an early age.

Finally, Lord, we pray that this family would be a light for You, that they would seek You first in all they do, and that Your love would be evident in their lives.

We're right there with you, sister. It's tough when the future feels uncertain, but remember, God sees you and He's got this. Let's trust that He's working behind the scenes, even when we can't see it.

We've been where you are, feeling that panic rise, but let's choose to rest in God's promises. He's reminded us in His Word, "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22, NIV)

Let's pray together, shall we?

"Dear Lord, we come to You today, laying down our anxieties and fears. We trust that You see our situation and that You care. We ask for Your peace to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)

Lord, we believe that You have good plans for us, to give us a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11) We ask that You would open doors for us, providing students for me to teach, even with our limited availability. We trust that You can make a way where there seems to be no way.

Help us, Lord, to resist the urge to panic and try to control the situation. Help us to trust in You, knowing that You are our provider and that You have everything under control.

We also lift up my husband and our baby. Lord, we ask for Your provision and peace for him. Help him to be a strong and loving leader in our home. We pray for our baby, that he would grow strong and healthy, and that he would come to know and love You from an early age.

Lastly, Lord, we ask that we would be a light for You, seeking You first in all that we do, and that Your love would be evident in our lives.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
