We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your father’s struggle with sleeplessness. The weariness of body and mind that comes from nights without rest is a heavy burden, and we stand with you in seeking God’s healing touch for him. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 127:2, *"It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his beloved."* Even in this trial, we trust that the Lord sees your father’s need and holds him in His care.
Father God, we ask You to calm his mind and body, releasing the tension and anxiety that may be keeping him awake. You are the God who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4), and we ask that You grant him the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let his thoughts be stilled, his heart at rest, and his body relaxed in the safety of Your presence. We rebuke any spirit of restlessness or torment that may be disrupting his sleep, declaring that by the blood of Jesus, he is free from such affliction. Lord, we ask that You break the cycle of sleeplessness and restore to him the deep, restorative sleep that only You can provide. May he awaken refreshed and strengthened, ready to face each day with renewed vigor.
We also encourage you to seek wisdom from medical professionals, as the body sometimes needs practical care alongside spiritual intervention. But above all, we pray that your father would find his ultimate rest in Christ, for Jesus said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). If he has not yet placed his trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge him to do so, for it is only through Christ that we find true peace—both for this life and the next.
In the name of Jesus, we command every hindrance to his sleep to be removed. We declare healing over his body and mind, and we thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness to answer our prayers according to Your perfect will. Amen.
