for God's Sovereign help, certainty and comfort

Beloved of All
I am to call an engraver to engrave a Scripture from the Bible and loved one's name and dates on family tomb vault, it is a sad moment and I am praying for Strength and guidance before making this call. In Jesus Name. May the Lord direct all details, including the exact timing and pricing. May many be touched to salvation on entering the Cemetery and seeing the inspired Words. Amen. Blessings.

We join you in this tender and weighty moment before the Lord, asking for His sovereign hand to guide you with certainty and comfort as you make this call to the engraver. We understand the sadness that rests on your heart as you prepare to honor your loved one and to set the Word of God upon the family tomb vault, and we bring your burden before our Father together in Jesus' name.

The Lord sees your brokenheartedness and draws near to comfort you. We are reminded that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and that Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted Matthew 5:4. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 and He says to you, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. In your grief we also cling to the hope of the resurrection, for Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die John 11:25-26, and we look forward to the day when He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more Revelation 21:4.

We also rejoice with you in your desire that the engraved Scripture would be a witness to all who enter that cemetery, for so is my word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do Isaiah 55:11. What you are doing in love and remembrance can become a testimony of eternal life to many.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that we have access to You only through Him. We lift up our dear brother or sister to You in this moment of sorrow and responsibility. Grant sovereign help and perfect peace as this call is made. Let Your hand direct every detail, the exact timing of the work, the words to be engraved, the hands of the engraver, and even the pricing, for A man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps Proverbs 16:9. Grant strength for the conversation and comfort that surpasses understanding, as You have promised that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We ask that You would anoint the Scripture chosen for that vault, that every person who reads it would be touched, convicted, and drawn to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. May this memorial not only honor a loved one but proclaim the hope of the gospel for generations to come. We trust that You are working all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. Give certainty in each decision and let Your will be done in all things. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We hear how heavy this feels. Calling about the engraving makes the loss very real again, and it makes sense you would want strength and clarity for it.

We are glad you want the vault to bear God's Word in a way that honors your loved one and points others to Him. That desire itself is a quiet testimony.

A small step that often helps in a tender moment like this is to have everything written in front of you before you dial. The exact scripture as you want it punctuated, the name spelling, the dates, and a couple questions about timing and cost. It can also help to have someone you trust nearby while you call, and to ask the engraver to send a written proof and price confirmation before any work begins. That gives you space to review without pressure and to sense the Lord's peace about timing.

We are praying with you in this.

Father, in Jesus' name we ask You to steady our friend for this call. Give clarity of mind, gentle strength for the sadness, and wisdom for each detail, timing and cost. Guide the engraver's hands and let the words placed there speak of Your hope to everyone who passes by. Comfort this family with Your nearness today. Amen.

We join you in prayer before the Lord in this solemn and tender duty which lies before you. To set the Word of God upon stone at the resting place of your loved one is a sorrowful work, and yet it is a work of faith and testimony, and the Lord who is sovereign over all details will not leave you without His help.

Hear what the Lord saith to His people, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people. He knows the tearful eye and the aching heart, and He sends comfort not as man gives it, but as God alone can give it. His comfort comes by His own Word. As it is written, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy Word hath quickened me. When the heart is heavy, the Spirit quickens us by that Word, and so we are comforted. May that be your portion now, that the very Scripture you would have engraved should first be engraved upon your own heart to sustain you.

You ask for strength and guidance to make this call, and for direction in timing and pricing. The promise stands, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Human strength spends itself and fails, for apart from God it is not strength at all, but the strength of the Lord is inexhaustible and everlasting. To those who have no might He increaseth strength. Wait upon Him in prayer, and He will strengthen you for this walk and this work. As He hath said, I will strengthen them, and they shall walk up and down in His name. Cast yourself upon that divine strength, and you shall find certainty where now there is heaviness.

We pray with you and for you in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation.

O Lord our Father, in the name of Thy Son Jesus Christ, grant to this Thy servant sovereign help and clear guidance. Give strength for this sad moment and wisdom for every word to be spoken to the engraver. Direct the timing and the cost according to Thy perfect will, and let no detail be left to chance but ordered by Thy hand. Let the Scripture chosen be faithfully and beautifully set upon the vault, that all who enter that cemetery and read those inspired Words may be touched in heart and drawn to seek salvation in Christ. Comfort this mourner with Thy presence, quicken the soul by Thy Word, and renew strength day by day while waiting upon Thee. Amen.

May the Lord keep you in His peace and establish you in every good word and work until that work is accomplished to His glory.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in prayer in this sad moment as you prepare to call the engraver for your family tomb vault.

Your Heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things, and because He is your Father He will not overlook His child in this time of sorrow and difficult details. We ask Him to give you strength and clear guidance as you make this call, to direct the exact timing, the words to be engraved, the work of the engraver, and even the pricing, so that all may be done well and in peace.

We understand the grief you feel. There are moments when our wound feels grievous and our tears come freely, yet God has given us comfort that is greater than our sorrow. He is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, and He comforts us in every trouble. He has given us the promise of life which is in Jesus Christ, where grief and mourning flee away, and the hope of the resurrection for those who have fallen asleep in Christ, that we shall be ever with the Lord. Keep that promise before you now.

You have chosen to engrave Scripture itself upon the vault, and that is a good and faithful choice. The Scriptures are like a chest of medicines for the soul. When grief befalls us, we can dive into them and take comfort, whether in loss or in bereavement. What you engrave will remain to speak after this moment has passed. We pray with you that every person who enters that cemetery and reads those inspired words will be touched in heart and drawn to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved.

So we pray: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, grant our brother or sister certainty, comfort, and strength for this task. Guide every detail and let Your sovereign hand direct what is written and when and how it is done. Use Your Word engraved there as a lasting witness to Your truth and Your hope, and bring many to know Your saving grace. Amen.
