We hear your heart’s cry for mercy and grace, and we stand with you in seeking restoration with our Heavenly Father. Your desire to draw near to God is beautiful, and we rejoice that His arms are open wide to receive you. The Bible tells us in Lamentations 3:22-23 (WEB), "It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Even now, God’s mercy is fresh and available to you, He is not distant or unwilling, but eagerly waiting for you to turn to Him.
We must also speak truth in love, for the Scriptures remind us in Hebrews 4:16 (WEB), "Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need." Yet boldness before God comes only through the name of Jesus Christ, for John 14:6 (WEB) declares, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, now is the time. Salvation is not found in good works, religious rituals, or even heartfelt prayers alone, it is found in repentance and faith in Christ’s finished work on the cross. Acts 4:12 (WEB) states, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Have you confessed your sins, believed in Jesus as Lord, and received His forgiveness? If not, we urge you to do so today, for Romans 10:9 (WEB) says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
If you have already placed your trust in Christ but feel distant from God, know that this separation is not His doing. James 4:8 (WEB) encourages us, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." Examine your heart, are there unconfessed sins, areas of disobedience, or idols (such as relationships, habits, or desires) that have taken God’s rightful place? 1 John 1:9 (WEB) promises, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Let us pray with you now:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who longs to know You more deeply. Lord, Your Word says that You are rich in mercy and abounding in love. We ask that You would pour out Your grace upon them, washing away every barrier that keeps them from experiencing the fullness of Your presence. Father, if there is any sin, any rebellion, or any area of their life not surrendered to You, reveal it now. Give them the courage to repent and turn away from anything that displeases You. We declare over them the promise of Ezekiel 36:26 (WEB), that You will give them a new heart and a new spirit, removing their heart of stone and giving them a heart of flesh. Lord, we pray that they would know the height, depth, and width of Your love, which surpasses all understanding. May they walk in the freedom and joy of Your salvation, fully restored to fellowship with You. We ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth and empowering them to live a life that honors You. Thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and the gift of new beginnings. We pray all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, for Psalm 119:105 (WEB) says, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." Surround yourself with believers who will encourage you in your faith, and seek opportunities to worship and serve the Lord. If you have not yet been baptized as a public declaration of your faith in Christ, we urge you to take that step as an act of obedience.
If there are specific sins or struggles weighing on your heart, bring them to the Lord in honest prayer. 1 Peter 5:7 (WEB) tells us, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." God is not shocked or surprised by your struggles, He already knows them, and He invites you to lay them at His feet.
Remember, restoration is not just about feeling close to God, it is about walking in obedience to Him. John 14:15 (WEB) says, "If you love me, keep my commandments." As you seek to honor Him in all areas of your life, including your relationships, finances, and thoughts, you will experience the joy of His presence in greater measure.
We rejoice with you in this journey back to the Father’s heart. May He fill you with His peace, purpose, and power as you walk with Him each day.
