It is a right and loving burden the Lord has laid upon your heart, to desire that your friend should know the Truth of God's salvation and be delivered from error into the light of Christ.
God's salvation is no shadow and no myth, but a great reality. There is substance in it, there is the Truth of God in it. We believe in a real Fall, and therefore we need a real Saviour. We believe in a real Atonement, that Jesus Christ has in very deed borne sin and made reconciliation by His blood. This is the common salvation, the same for all who know the Gospel and live upon it, salvation from sin leading upward to perfection and Heaven, and it is by grace through faith in Christ Jesus alone. There is no other name, no other way, and no mixture of works or ceremonies can add to His finished work. As the Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.
The Lord's wish concerning men is that they should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, for Jesus Christ Himself is the truth, and the work of the Holy Ghost in the heart is to work in us the truth. A lie cannot save. Truth alone can work results that are true. Therefore your desire to bring your friend under the faithful preaching of the Word, to a Christian gathering where Christ is lifted up, is wise and timely. Keep on teaching the truth, keep on quoting the Scripture itself, and rely upon the Spirit to make it effectual. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
There is a Friend that sticketh closer than a brother, the blessed Redeemer, the Friend of sinners who loves at all times and gave His heart's blood for us. It is this Friend you would have your friend meet, not a system, not a religion of man, but the living Christ.
Let us pray together for this dear soul and for your witness.

Let the truth be spoken in love and with power, that this soul may be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Draw this friend to Yourself, that believing on Your Son, he may not be ashamed but may rejoice in a salvation that is sure and irreversible. Give to the one who prays, courage, tenderness, fidelity and patience, to show himself friendly and faithful as Christ has been friendly to us.
