Follow up to Pray for my missionary wife

Disciple of Prayer
Hello praying friends,

Last notice from me finished on a encouraging note. My wife had taken new medication & improved. After 3 days this medication became counter productive, so she had to stop it. The hospital also got her started on coming off another tablet that has some long term bad effect. Since then she is struggling with withdrawal symptoms.

The big matter now has been that she did not get well enough for us to go on our yearly winter trip to India. We cancelled that trip. It was also supposed to be a time to celebrate Christmas with our own kids - meeting in Thailand. We gave God maximum time, but it was not to be this time. My wife is struggling to accept this in such a way that she feels peace, as we as missionaries seldom meet our kids.

Can you pray she gets this comforting touch from the Lord? Her most deep need is, as a person who is doing her best to face and get free from a deeper anxiety issue, to be given a mental rest that is not within reach for her in her state without a miracle. Pray that God keeps one lady counselor friend free to give time regularly for her now, so her roots issues can be healed and reconciled. This is a spiritual battle, where much spiritual disturbance and hindrance to her healing has been going on for months.

Please, pray also that she will find meaningful activities to fill this vacuum that has come with the loss of time with own kids at Christmas?

Thanks for standing with us in prayer now. He is a very present help in time of need.

Love,

K. Sand

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
