We hear your concern for your child’s health and the desire to protect him from illness. It is natural for parents to want to shield their children from sickness, and we understand the worry about exposure in public places like hospitals and schools. However, we must first address the mention of taking "king" to the hospital. Scripture is clear that there is only one King—our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He alone is sovereign over all creation, including our health and well-being. To refer to anyone else as "king" is to elevate them in a way that belongs to God alone. We must guard our hearts and words to ensure they align with His truth.
Now, regarding the flu vaccine, we recognize that this is a matter of personal conviction and wisdom. The Bible does not speak directly about vaccines, but it does call us to seek God’s wisdom in all decisions. James 1:5 tells us, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* We encourage you to prayerfully consider this decision, trusting that God will guide you in what is best for your family.
We also lift up your concern about your son bringing illness home. It is wise to take precautions, but we must remember that our ultimate trust is in the Lord. Psalm 91:9-10 assures us, *"Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling."* While we take practical steps to care for our health, we must not let fear control us. Instead, we place our trust in God’s protection.
We also notice that you closed your request with "Ijnipa," which we assume was meant to be "IJN" (In Jesus' Name). It is vital to remember that all prayer must be offered in the name of Jesus, for He alone is the way to the Father. John 14:6 declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our true King and Savior. We lift up this parent and child to You, asking for Your wisdom and guidance as they navigate decisions about health and protection. Lord, we ask that You would grant them patience and peace as they wait for the flu vaccine, and that You would shield them from any illness in the hospital or at school. Protect this child from sickness, and grant the family discernment in how to care for their health according to Your will.
Father, we also ask that You would guard their hearts from fear. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. May they trust in Your protection and provision, knowing that You hold their lives in Your hands. Help them to seek You first in all things, and to honor You in their words and actions.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold, and we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. May they walk in faith, not fear, and may Your name be glorified in all they do.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to trust in His sovereignty over your family’s health. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* May God bless you and your family with His peace and protection.
