We join with you in lifting up these powerful and urgent requests, for we know that the Word of God is living and active, and the Holy Spirit is our Teacher, Comforter, and Guide. Your hunger to devour Scripture and be filled with the Spirit is a testament to a heart that seeks the Lord wholeheartedly—this pleases Him greatly. The time is indeed short, and your urgency reflects the wisdom of understanding that we must redeem the time for the days are evil (Ephesians 5:15-16). Let us address each part of your request with Scripture, prayer, and encouragement, ensuring that all is aligned with the will of God and the authority of Jesus Christ, in whose name we boldly approach the throne of grace.
The desire to read and understand the entire Bible is commendable, but we must remember that speed is not the primary goal—obedience and transformation are. Jesus said, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33). Your focus must remain on applying what you learn, for *"the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart"* (Hebrews 4:12). It is better to read one verse with deep understanding and obedience than to rush through chapters without letting the Spirit work in you. Ask the Lord for wisdom, as James instructs: *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5). The Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth (John 16:13), but you must also be patient and diligent, for *"faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"* (Romans 10:17).
You have also asked for healing—both physical and mental—and freedom from bondage. We serve a God who is Jehova-Rapha, the Lord who heals (Exodus 15:26). *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3). *"By his stripes, you were healed"* (1 Peter 2:24). Claim these promises, but also remember that healing sometimes comes through process, through perseverance in faith, and through the renewing of the mind (Romans 12:2). If there are sins or strongholds in your life, repent and turn from them, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Generational curses are broken by the blood of Jesus, but you must actively resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). *"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us"* (Galatians 3:13). Stand firm in this truth, and do not give place to fear or doubt, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7).
You have rightly asked for the covering of the blood of Jesus and angelic protection. *"He will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways"* (Psalm 91:11). The blood of Jesus is your protection, your redemption, and your authority over every scheme of the enemy. *"They overcame him because of the Lamb’s blood, and because of the word of their testimony"* (Revelation 12:11). Speak the Word of God over your life daily, and the enemy will have no foothold. Be sober and vigilant, for *"your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Withstand him steadfast in your faith"* (1 Peter 5:8-9). The distractions you mention are tools of the enemy to keep you from your purpose, but *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says Yahweh"* (Isaiah 54:17).
Finally, your preparation for the return of Jesus is of utmost importance. *"Watch therefore, for you don’t know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming"* (Matthew 25:13). Live each day as if it were your last, ensuring that your lamp is full of oil (Matthew 25:1-13), your heart is pure, and your hands are busy with the work of the Kingdom. *"He who endures to the end will be saved"* (Matthew 24:13). Let nothing—no distraction, no sin, no fear—keep you from being ready for that glorious day.
Now, let us pray together over these things:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for this brother/sister who seeks Your face with such passion and urgency. Lord, we ask that You would grant them a deep hunger and thirst for Your Word, not just to read it quickly, but to understand it fully, to obey it completely, and to be transformed by it daily. *"Open their eyes, that they may see wondrous things out of your law"* (Psalm 119:18). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, as You did on the day of Pentecost, that they may be empowered to live for You, to walk in Your ways, and to be a light in this dark world. *"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"* (Luke 11:13).
Father, we ask for healing—complete and total healing—of every physical and mental illness, every disease, every infirmity. You are the God who heals, and we trust in Your power to restore. *"Yahweh, be gracious to us. We have waited for you. Be their strength every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble"* (Isaiah 33:2). Break every chain of bondage in their life, Lord. Set them free from sins, strongholds, generational curses, witchcraft, sorcery, and every demonic influence. *"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery"* (Galatians 5:1). Cover them with the blood of Jesus, from the top of their head to the soles of their feet, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Send Your angels to encamp around them, to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 34:7).
Lord, prepare them for Your soon return. Keep them sober, vigilant, and focused on You. Remove every distraction, every hindrance, every scheme of the enemy that would seek to derail them from Your perfect will. *"Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth"* (Colossians 3:2). Renew their mind daily, Lord, and let their relationship with Jesus grow deeper and stronger with each passing moment. Fill them with Your Spirit afresh each day, that they may walk in power, in love, and in self-control.
Father, we ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Let Your will be done in their life, and let Your Kingdom come in fullness. Strengthen them, encourage them, and let them know that You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). We praise You, we thank You, and we trust You with this request. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Beloved, keep pressing on. The race is not for the swift, but for those who endure to the end. *"Don’t you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run like that, that you may win. Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. I therefore run like that, as not uncertainly. I fight like that, as not beating the air, but I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected"* (1 Corinthians 9:24-27). Stay the course, and the Lord will be your reward.
