Financial Stress

Financial stress is weighing heavy on me. I feel like I have so much to deal with already & adding that is honestly just not fair. I'm tired of all the stress.

We hear how heavy this burden feels for you and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord. Financial stress can feel overwhelming especially when it is layered on top of so many other cares, and we understand why you feel tired and why it feels unfair. We want to remind you that God sees your weariness and He cares deeply about every detail of your life.

We cast all our worries on Him because He cares for us as 1 Peter 5:7 tells us. Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28 to come to Him all who labor and are heavily burdened and He will give us rest. God does not promise that life in this fallen world will feel fair, but He does promise that He is faithful and that He will work for our good as we trust Him. Romans 8:28 says we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Instead of carrying this anxiety alone, God calls us in Philippians 4:6-7 to in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We gently share this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness and for relationship with God, believing that He died for your sins and rose again. It is through Him we can come boldly to God with our needs.

We want to pray together for you.

Father in heaven we lift up this dear one to You who is weighed down with financial stress and weariness. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would grant peace that surpasses understanding and rest for this tired heart. We ask that You would provide wisdom to steward what has been given, strength to work diligently, and contentment as You provide. Help us to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness trusting Your promise in Matthew 6:33 that all these things will be given to us as well. We trust Your promise in Philippians 4:19 that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Teach us to be content and to trust You day by day as Hebrews 13:5 reminds us that You will never leave us nor forsake us. Give guidance for wise decisions, open doors for provision, and help us to be faithful in little and much. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing every worry to the Lord in prayer with thanksgiving, to seek godly counsel for budgeting and stewardship, and to rest in His care. He knows your needs and He loves you. As you seek Him first, trust that He will supply what you need in His perfect timing and will give you strength for each day.

We hear how heavy this feels right now, and how tired you are of carrying it. When you are already dealing with so much, adding financial pressure can feel unfair and overwhelming, like there is just no margin left. That makes sense, and you are not alone in feeling that way.

Sometimes it is not one big thing but several things piling up at once that wears us down. When our usual ways of coping get stretched thin, even a smaller worry can feel like too much. Recognizing that can take some of the shame out of it. You are not failing because this feels hard.

When everything feels urgent, it can help to name what feels most pressing in this moment. If it is helpful, you might take a few quiet minutes to write down the one financial pressure that is weighing on you most right now, and consider sharing it with one trusted person this week, a pastor, counselor, or someone with wisdom about finances who can listen and help you think through next steps. You do not have to solve it all at once, and you do not have to carry it alone.

We are praying for you and we care about you.

Father, we lift our friend to You who sees the weight they are carrying. Give them rest when they are weary, wisdom for each decision, and the comfort of knowing You are near. Provide for their needs and surround them with supportive people. Guide them step by step as they seek Your will. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your words have come before the Lord and before His people, and the weariness in them is heard. To feel pressed on every side, and then to have the added weight of financial care, can indeed make the heart cry out that it is too much to bear. You are tired, and the Lord knows the tiredness of His children.

There is a word from the prophet which I would lay upon your heart as a pillow for your rest, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." This is not a peace that comes because all our circumstances are made easy, but a peace that lives even while sorrows surge around. As we have often said, the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that peace may be enjoyed in the ordinary circumstances of life, even when duties throng and cares press hard.

The peace the world gives is a poor thing, for it often cries peace, peace, where there is no peace. But the peace which Christ gives is another matter altogether. It is peace with God through His atoning blood, and then peace in the conscience as the publication of that treaty. He Himself is our peace. He said, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you." It is His own calm, His own unruffled and profound peace, which He delights to impart to His people. And therefore it is a peace which passes all understanding, keeping heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

Do not seek after peace first as though it were a thing to be earned. Seek after Christ first, and peace will come next. Bring your financial burden to Him in plain and honest prayer. Tell Him that you are weary and that it feels not fair, for He hears the honest cry of His child. Cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. He who is the God of peace delights in peace and has made peace for us through the blood of the everlasting covenant, and He will not turn away a trusting heart that stays itself upon Him.

I pray for you now, that the Lord will bless you with His own peace, that He will quiet your mind as you keep it stayed upon Him, that He will give you wisdom for every practical need, provision according to His fatherly care, and rest for your weary soul. May He show you that even with loved ones and cares pressing near, you are kept in Jesus, safe in His keeping. May you know that sweet calm, that great peace which belongs to them that love His law, and find that to do His will, even in straitened circumstances, is rest.

Earth's struggles shall soon cease, and Jesus calls His people to Heaven's perfect peace, but until then He would have you go in peace through this present trial, with your heart at rest in Him who has vanquished all our foes and who will not leave His own without help.

May the God of peace be with you, and may He keep you in perfect peace as you trust in Him.

Life isn't fair as you perceive fairness, your job is simply to do the best you can do with the circumstances that God gives you. Financially this means to live within the resources God blessed you with and confine your expenditures to"needs only". You will find that by doing this, you will start to move ahead in time. Maybe try being thankful for all that God has given you will allow you to stop thinking about how unfair your life is. Especially when you see how many blind, deaf and homeless people you can see with so much less than you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
