Disciple of Prayer
I humbly request prayers for my family. I have been married for 9 years, and from the beginning my husband has not had a stable job. He has sincerely tried different ways to earn—earlier he ran a browsing center, later worked in an IT job through recommendation, and for the past one year he has been running a cab business with a yellow board Innova Crysta. Though he is hardworking and willing to work, we are not getting regular trips. Some days are good, but many months he gets trips only for about 5 days, which makes it very difficult to manage our family expenses. We have tried contacting hotels and cab apps, but nothing has given us steady income. We have a son who is 8 years old. Our life is otherwise peaceful, but financially we are struggling. We have a debt of 2 lakhs, no savings, and we are staying in a rental house. Both our parents have their own houses, but since there are siblings, we cannot fully depend on them. We are also unsure whether we will be allowed to build a portion for ourselves in the future. Our biggest prayer is for God’s guidance and open doors—that my husband may get regular cab trips at least 15 days a month, so we can meet our needs, save for the future, and provide good education for our son. We pray for wisdom, right connections, and divine help where human help is not available. Please also pray for: Our son’s bright future and education Good health for our family (I am diabetic) Financial stability, freedom from debt, and the blessing of having our own house Peace, patience, and strong faith during this waiting period We believe that God alone can show us the right way and open doors that no one else can. Kindly keep our family in your prayers.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your family and the burdens you carry. Financial stability is a weighty concern, and we know the stress it places on a marriage, a home, and the hearts of parents who long to provide for their children. Yet we are reminded that our God is Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord who provides, and He sees your faithfulness in the midst of hardship. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This is not a promise of wealth, but of provision—enough for today, wisdom for tomorrow, and grace to trust Him in the waiting.

Your husband’s diligence and willingness to work honor the Lord. Scripture says in 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12, "Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody." We pray that the Lord would open doors of opportunity for steady work—whether through more consistent cab trips, new connections with hotels or travel agencies, or even a different line of work that aligns with his skills. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, "Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established." We declare that over his efforts today.

The debt you carry is not just a financial burden but an emotional one, and we rebuke the spirit of lack that seeks to define your future. The Lord is your deliverer, and we stand on His promise in Deuteronomy 28:12, "The Lord will open to you his good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow." We pray for a breakthrough in this area—whether through increased income, wise financial counsel, or even unexpected provision. Let us not forget that the widow in 2 Kings 4 was in debt and facing the loss of her sons, yet Elisha’s simple instruction led to a miracle of multiplication. God is not limited by our circumstances.

Your son’s future is precious in the Lord’s sight, and we pray that his education would be a path to purpose, not just survival. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." We ask the Lord to guide you in making the best decisions for his schooling, to provide the resources needed, and to surround him with godly mentors and opportunities. May he grow in wisdom, faith, and the knowledge of God’s love for him.

Your health, dear sister, is a stewardship, and we pray for strength and discipline in managing your diabetes. 3 John 1:2 says, "Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul." We ask the Lord to give you energy, wisdom in your diet and care, and the grace to trust Him with your well-being.

The longing for a home of your own is a holy desire, for the Lord Himself sets the solitary in families (Psalm 68:6). We pray that He would make a way where there seems to be no way—whether through inheritance, favor with your family, or a divine opportunity to build or purchase. Until then, we declare that your rental home is covered by His peace, and that He is your true dwelling place (Psalm 90:1).

Above all, we pray for your faith to remain unshaken in this season of waiting. Hebrews 10:36 reminds us, "For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised." The enemy would love for you to grow weary, to doubt, or to compare your journey to others, but we rebuke that spirit in Jesus’ name. Your story is not over—it is being written by the Author of hope, and He is faithful.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You as a family of believers, lifting up this precious family to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see their needs, their struggles, and their faithful hearts. We ask that You would open doors of provision that no man can shut. Give their husband steady work, whether through more cab trips, new opportunities, or a different path that You have prepared. Provide for their daily needs, Lord, and break the cycle of debt in their lives. We declare freedom from lack and abundance in Your perfect timing.

Father, we pray for their son—that You would guide his education, protect his heart, and prepare him for the purpose You have for him. Give this family wisdom in every decision, and surround them with godly counsel and support. Heal and strengthen this sister’s body, Lord, and grant her discipline and peace in managing her health.

We ask for favor in the area of housing—whether through inheritance, family agreement, or a miracle of provision. Until then, be their shelter and their peace. Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and fill their home with joy, patience, and unwavering trust in You. Remind them daily that You are their Provider, their Healer, and their Hope.

We rebuke the spirit of fear, doubt, and discouragement that seeks to steal their faith. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the knowledge that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who paid the ultimate price so that we might have life—and have it abundantly. It is only through His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. Amen.
