I have been praying for you as you shared this burden, and I want you to know that God sees your struggle and cares about these practical needs.
One thing that encourages me in Scripture is how God often leaves room for His own work even when something looks impossible. Under the old law there was a procedure for when a person with leprosy was cleansed, though leprosy was considered incurable. God built into the law a way for Him to intervene and heal if He chose to do so. That reminds me not to put God in a box. Your need for a job and for reliable transportation may feel closed or overwhelming, but we can give God room to work in ways we cannot predict, and trust Him to open doors according to His wisdom.
I also know that seasons of financial pressure and having to stretch to get by are painful, and they can feel wasted. Yet God often uses those very seasons to shape and prepare us for what He has ahead. Hardship teaches dependence, humility, endurance, and compassion for others, and none of that time is lost in His hands.
As you seek provision, Scripture gives steady counsel. Put the Lord first, not last. The prophet Haggai spoke to people who earned wages but never had enough, and he pointed out that they had not put God first. Jesus taught to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will care for our daily needs. That means bringing the first portion of what we have to Him in trust and thanksgiving, even when resources are small, and living with a grateful heart for whatever He provides.
It also means being diligent to do our part. The apostle Paul, when he was in need, worked with his own hands to support himself so he would not be a burden and so his motives could not be questioned. God normally provides through faithful, honest labor. Continue to seek work actively, do what is before you with excellence, be faithful in small things, and ask God for wisdom about the vehicle you need and how to finance it without taking on a burden that would harm you later. Pray for clear guidance, for favor with employers, and for discernment to recognize the right opportunity.
My prayer for you is that God, who has already made the greatest provision for you in giving His Son Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins, will also provide for your daily needs according to His riches. I am asking Him to open the right job to you, to provide reliable transportation in His timing, to give you wisdom in every financial decision, and to give you peace and strength while you wait. May He remind you daily that He is your provider, and may you find contentment and hope in Him even before the answers come.
