Thank you for sharing your need so honestly. Financial pressure is a heavy burden and Scripture does not make light of it. Your struggle is real and God sees it fully.
Being a follower of Jesus does not give immunity from problems, distress or hardship. We face the same kinds of troubles as everyone else, including financial lack. The early believers in Jerusalem knew deep poverty and desperate need, and other believers who were themselves poor and going through severe trials still learned what it meant to walk with God in the midst of it. Knowing this helps keep a realistic perspective. The difference for the child of God is not the absence of problems but the presence of the Lord with us in them to sustain, to help and to bring us through.
One of the mistakes we often make when problems come is to fix our eyes only on the problem. When we dwell on it, it grows in our sight until it fills our vision and we lose sight of how great God is. What we need is to lift our eyes beyond the problem to the power and sustaining hand of God. David wrote many psalms out of serious trouble, pursued by enemies and even torn by family heartache, feeling pained and overwhelmed. Yet as he prayed his focus shifted from the trouble to the Lord, and what began in fear and terror ended in trust. Prayer does that. It turns our attention to God Himself.
God invites you to cast your burden on Him. He promises to sustain those who trust Him. He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, not because He owes us anything for our works, for righteousness is by grace through faith and God is debtor to no one, but because He is gracious and faithful to keep His promises. He has already shown His greatest provision in giving His only Son so that through Jesus Christ alone our sin and guilt can be forgiven. The Spirit bears witness to that truth in our hearts. If you have trusted in Christ for salvation, you can come to your Father with confidence that He hears you and cares for every need, temporal and eternal.
I am praying for you now that God will give you wisdom for every practical decision, peace as you look to Him rather than only at the debt and pressure before you, and a clear experience of His provision and sustaining grace day by day. May He strengthen your faith as you bring each concern to Him, and may you know His nearness and help in this season.
May the Lord provide for your needs according to His riches in Christ, guard your heart from fear, and lead you step by step as you trust Him.
