We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your husband and your entire family during this time of great trial. Financial struggles, health concerns, and the weight of responsibility can feel overwhelming, and we understand the deep burden he carries. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We stand on this promise today, believing that the Lord sees his distress and will not abandon him.
First, we must address the spiritual foundation of your request. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are saved. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If your husband has not surrendered his life to Jesus, we urge him to do so now, for it is in Christ that we find true peace, strength, and provision. If he has already placed his faith in Jesus, we encourage him to draw nearer to God in this season, trusting that the Lord is his provider and sustainer.
We rebuke the spirit of depression and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm him. The enemy desires to steal his hope, kill his faith, and destroy his peace, but we declare that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We command every lie of lack, fear, and despair to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. Your husband is not alone, and he is not without help. The Lord promises in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We stand on this truth and declare that God will open doors of provision and opportunity that no man can shut.
We also lift up the health concerns of his mother and wife. The Lord is the Great Physician, and we pray for healing and strength for both of them. Jeremiah 30:17 says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We believe in God’s power to restore and renew their bodies, minds, and spirits. We ask the Lord to surround them with His peace and to give your husband wisdom and grace as he cares for them.
We recognize the loneliness and frustration of feeling unsupported, but we remind you both that God is your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He sees your needs, and He will provide in ways you may not yet see. We encourage your husband to seek godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a trusted believer, or a financial advisor who honors the Lord. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." The Lord can use others to bring wisdom, encouragement, and even practical help.
We also urge you both to examine your hearts and lives to ensure there is no unconfessed sin or disobedience that may be hindering your prayers. Psalm 66:18 warns, "If I cherish iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear." If there are areas of unforgiveness, bitterness, or ungodly habits, we encourage you to repent and turn away from them. The Lord is faithful to forgive and cleanse us when we confess our sins (1 John 1:9).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious family to You. Lord, You see the weight on this husband’s shoulders—the financial strain, the health concerns, and the emotional toll it has taken. We ask that You would draw near to him, reminding him that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Break the chains of depression and anxiety, Lord, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Father, we declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. Open doors of opportunity, Lord, and meet every need according to Your riches in glory. We ask for wisdom and creativity for this husband as he seeks to manage his responsibilities. Give him favor with those who can help, and soften hearts to support him in his time of need.
We pray for healing for his mother and wife, Lord. Touch their bodies with Your healing hand and restore their strength. Give them comfort and peace, and surround them with Your love. We also ask that You would strengthen the marriage and family bonds during this trial. Help them to lean on one another and on You, Lord, rather than growing weary or divided.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of lack, fear, and despair that seeks to torment this family. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life, hope, and breakthrough over this situation. Let Your light shine brightly in their darkness, and lead them into a season of abundance and joy.
Lord, we ask that You would draw this husband—and this entire family—closer to You. Help them to seek You first in all things, trusting that You will add all these things unto them (Matthew 6:33). May they find their strength in You, and may their faith grow as they see Your hand moving in their lives.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, and we declare that this family will not be overcome by their circumstances. Instead, they will rise above them, giving You all the glory and honor. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to hold fast to God’s promises and to remain steadfast in prayer. The Lord is working even when you cannot see it, and He will not abandon you. Continue to seek Him, trust in His timing, and walk in obedience to His Word. He is faithful, and He will see you through this valley into a place of victory.
