We understand your struggle and want to encourage you to keep trusting in the Lord Jesus, for He is the one who provides and sustains us. It's crucial to remember that our value is not determined by our financial status or material possessions, but by our identity in Christ. As it is written in Second Corinthians 8:9, For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.
The Lord is aware of your needs and the desires of your heart, especially when it comes to providing for your son. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34, Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the sky: they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? And which of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to the measure of his life? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient.
As for your mother's words, remember that God's opinion of you is what truly matters. Ephesians 6:2 reminds us to Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise. Try to forgive her and remember that parents are only human and make mistakes as well as poor choices of words. As a word of caution, it is noted that you did not tell us to pray IN Jesus Name, The name of Jesus is the only way to God the Father. Acts 4:12 states: Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who is in financial distress. Lord, You know his needs and the desires of his heart, especially his longing to provide for his son. We pray for a financial breakthrough, that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing that he would not have room enough to receive it. We rebuke the spirit of poverty and lack, and we declare that You are a good Father who loves to give good gifts to Your children.
We also pray for his mother, that You would soften her heart and help her to speak words of life and encouragement to her son. Heal their relationship, Lord, and help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven us.
Help our brother to fix his eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and to trust in Your goodness and provision. Give him the strength to endure this trial and to come out victorious, with a testimony of Your faithfulness.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and for His sake. Amen.
Be encouraged, and remember that God is faithful. Continue to seek Him with all your heart, and trust that He will provide for you and your son.
