In times of financial struggle, we remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB: "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up this person who is seeking a financial breakthrough within the context of your sovereign will. We ask that You provide for their needs and guide them in Your wisdom, also asking that you provide work and a job that honors you. That you will provide the skills and knowledge to do the job. That You would also provide the money needed to provide for their material needs and to bless others. Help the person to be a wise steward of the money you provide that they would pay their bills, stay out of debt, and have a financial balance. In seeking you first, help them to trust You and Your promises. Help them also to remember the poor and to give to the needs of others and to your work on this earth.
We also pray that You will reveal any areas in their life that may need adjustment, as You promise to do in Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Help this person to love you more and to respond to your work in their life and to honor you with any wealth your provide.
We also remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:19 WEB: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Help this person to feel the love and peace of Jesus so they can better understand that we are all poor and needy before God and that we are all beggars at the cross.
We pray this all in Jesus' name, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father. As is stated in John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We are so thankful for salvation through Jesus Christ and the relationship with God that this brings. We ask that if this person has not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior that they would do so now. That they would believe in their heart and confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord. Romans 10:9 WEB "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. We ask that you would give this person faith in Jesus and the power to believe.
We thank you also for being the great provider and comforter during times of financial hardship. You are a good Father, and we trust in Your provision and timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In times of financial struggle, it is essential to remember that God is our provider. He owns everything, and He wants us to seek Him first in our lives. This does not mean that we should sit back and do nothing, but rather that we should work diligently, be wise with our resources, and trust in His provision. God wants the best for us in every area of our lives including finances.
