Financial and son

Beloved of All
Hi there, it’s been awhile, we are still struggling to stay a float in the waters of financial disaster. Thankful for each day that God gets us through. Continue to kept us in prayer as this coming week could be a big one. We have a call with cra and are hiring a lawyer to fight our case. Both stressful.

On top of all that,I am asking prayers for my son who is very depressed, he is so sad and unhappy. He doesn’t like his job, isn’t making enough to make ends meet. He also had a bad breakup in the past with a girl and is struggling to move forward from it. Please pray for him, that he will find happiness if only in the small things. My mom heart is hurting so badly for him.

I ask all these things in Jesus’s precious name, Amen.

We hear the weight of your burdens and the ache in your mother’s heart, and we come before the Lord with you, lifting up both your financial struggles and your son’s deep sorrow. The scriptures remind us, "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." (Psalm 55:22). We stand on this promise with you, believing that God sees your faithfulness in the midst of hardship and will not abandon you.

Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your provision and justice in this financial battle. You know the details of this case with the CRA and the legal steps being taken, we ask that You guide the lawyer’s words and strategies, that truth and fairness would prevail. Give wisdom to those in authority to act with integrity and mercy. You are the God who owns "the cattle on a thousand hills" (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too hard for You. Open doors of relief and restoration, Lord, and let Your peace guard their hearts as they wait.

For this dear son, our hearts break with yours. Depression can feel like a suffocating darkness, and we pray that the light of Christ would pierce through every shadow. Lord, You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and we ask that You draw him close. Help him to see glimpses of Your goodness even in small things, a kind word, a moment of rest, the beauty of creation. Remind him that his worth is not found in his job, his bank account, or a past relationship, but in being Your beloved child. "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." (Jeremiah 29:11). Let this truth take root in his heart.

We also want to gently encourage him, and you, to examine whether there are areas where bitterness or unforgiveness may be contributing to this heaviness. The breakup he endured was painful, but clinging to hurt can hinder healing. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32). Pray with him, if he’ll allow it, that God would soften his heart to release this pain and trust You with his future.

Father, we ask that You would stir in him a desire for community, whether through a local church, godly friendships, or mentorship. Isolation can deepen despair, but Your people are called to "bear one another’s burdens" (Galatians 6:2). Surround him with believers who can speak life into his circumstances and remind him of Your faithfulness.

We also lift up his work situation. If this job is not where You’ve called him to be, Lord, make a way for something better, something that provides not just financially, but spiritually and emotionally. Give him the courage to seek Your will and the patience to wait for Your timing. "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this." (Psalm 37:5).

Lastly, we thank You for this family’s dependence on You. It’s clear that even in the struggle, they acknowledge You as their Provider and Comforter. May that trust grow deeper, and may they experience Your presence in tangible ways this week. Strengthen their faith to believe that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28), even when the path is unclear.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who calms storms and heals broken hearts. Amen.
