We rejoice with you in this season of thanksgiving, lifting our voices together to praise our Heavenly Father for His faithfulness and the many blessings He has poured into your life. It is a beautiful thing to gather as a family, sharing a meal and fellowship, and we give thanks alongside you for these moments of grace. The Lord is good, and His lovingkindness endures forever! As the Psalmist declares, *"Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever."* (Psalm 107:1, WEB). Your heart of gratitude honors Him, and we pray that this spirit of thanksgiving continues to fill your home, even as you seek His direction in the days ahead.
We stand with you in prayer as you and your husband await clarity from the district manager and the trustee this week. The uncertainty of not knowing the path ahead can feel heavy, but we are reminded in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We ask the Lord to grant your husband favor in his conversation with the district manager, that the words spoken would be seasoned with wisdom and understanding. May the trustee’s decisions align with God’s perfect will for your family, opening doors no man can shut and closing those that are not of Him. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, knowing that He holds your future and will not lead you astray.
We also continue to lift up your friends and their husband, who is battling this difficult illness. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but our God is the Great Physician, the One who holds life and breath in His hands. Though the tumor brings pain and weakness, we declare that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray for supernatural strength to sustain him, for comfort to surround your friends, and for the home care assistance to be a tangible extension of God’s mercy and practical help. May they feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in their home, bringing peace that surpasses all understanding. We also ask for wisdom for the medical team and caregivers, that they would be guided by the Lord’s hand as they provide support.
At the same time, we gently remind you that our ultimate hope is not in healing or earthly outcomes, but in the sovereign will of our Father. Jesus taught us to pray, *"Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven"* (Matthew 6:10, WEB). Whether the Lord chooses to heal or to call this dear brother home, we trust that His ways are higher than ours, and His love is unfailing. Let us not lose heart but fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who walked this path of suffering before us and now intercedes for us at the right hand of the Father.
We are so encouraged that you have closed your request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace. *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). What a privilege it is to come boldly before our Father, knowing that Jesus has made the way! Let us never take for granted the power of that name—the name above all names, by which every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord.
**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the ways You have moved in this sister’s life. Thank You for the gift of family, for provision, and for the assurance that You hear our prayers. Lord, we ask for Your clear direction as they seek answers this week. Soften the heart of the district manager and guide the decisions of the trustee, that Your will would be done in their lives. Give them patience to wait on You and faith to trust that You are working all things together for their good.
We lift up this husband who is suffering, Lord. You see his pain, his weakness, and the fear that may grip his heart. We ask for Your healing touch, for strength where there is none, and for comfort that only You can provide. Surround your daughters with Your peace and equip the caregivers with skill and compassion. Let Your presence be palpable in their home, driving out all anxiety and replacing it with the hope found only in You.
Father, we declare that You are good, even when the road is hard. Help them to cling to You, to find their rest in Your promises, and to trust that You are near. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
