Finances

Thank you for sharing these requests and allowing prayer for you. I am praying for you and for the woman you mentioned who is not well, and I am asking the Lord to bring His peace to you both.

For your finances, know that God sees your need and cares about it. Scripture shows us that God is our provider and that He invites us to bring every practical need to Him in prayer and to trust Him with the outcome. At the same time the Bible does not promise that following Him will always mean immediate financial relief, and sometimes even well intentioned efforts can lead to hardship when they are not directed by Him. So we pray not only for provision but for wisdom, for open doors for work and stewardship, and for contentment and trust as He leads you step by step. I pray that He will meet your daily needs, give you guidance in decisions, and guard your heart from anxiety as you look to Him.

For the woman who is ill, I am praying for the Lord's healing touch and mercy upon her. The gospels show Jesus healing the sick often and with great compassion. He touched a leper whom no one else would touch, He healed a Gentile who was outside the covenant, and He cared for a woman who was overlooked by others. He did not exclude anyone who came to Him, and that same compassion is still His nature today. Healing is a work of God and it rests in His sovereign hands. The early church practiced prayer for the sick, and Scripture instructs those who are sick to call for the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them, trusting the Lord to act according to His will.

God does heal, and we have seen Him do so in wonderful ways, yet we also see in Scripture that not everyone was healed immediately. Paul left a faithful companion behind because he was too sick to travel, another faithful worker was near death before God showed mercy and raised him up, and Paul himself spoke of his own ongoing infirmities. Godly people do experience sickness, and sickness is not a sign that someone lacks faith. It is wrong to place guilt on the sick person or on those who love them. We simply bring our loved ones to the Lord, ask Him for healing, and trust His wisdom and love, whether He brings instant healing, gradual recovery, or sustaining grace through the illness.

So I pray now that the Lord would lay His hand upon this dear woman, ease her suffering, grant wisdom to those caring for her, and restore her health if it is His will. I pray also that He would surround you both with His love and comfort. Jesus taught that we are to love one another as He has loved us, and that love is meant to be shown in practical care and prayer for one another. If you are able, I encourage you to ask mature believers or elders you trust to pray with you and for her in person, as Scripture directs.

May the Lord, who bore our infirmities according to Isaiah 53 verse 4, draw near to you both, provide for your needs, and give you peace that rests in His care and His perfect will.
