We join with you in lifting up your financial needs before the Lord, trusting in His promise to provide for His children. The Word of God reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not just a vague hope but a firm assurance that our Heavenly Father knows our needs and is faithful to meet them as we seek His kingdom first (Matthew 6:33).
We also take note of your request regarding the return of what you have borrowed. The Bible is clear about our responsibility in financial matters, including debts. Psalm 37:21 says, *"The wicked borrows, and doesn’t pay back, but the righteous gives generously."* While we do not know the circumstances surrounding this debt, we encourage you to trust God’s timing and wisdom. If there are outstanding obligations, we pray that God would open doors for repayment in a way that honors Him and brings peace to your heart. Proverbs 22:7 reminds us, *"The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender."* Let us seek God’s wisdom in managing our finances so that we are not ensnared by debt but walk in freedom and generosity.
At the same time, we must examine our hearts. Are we trusting in God’s provision, or are we allowing anxiety to rule us? Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:25-34 not to worry about our lives, what we will eat or drink, or what we will wear. He knows our needs, and when we seek His kingdom first, all these things will be added to us. Let us repent of any fear or doubt and place our full trust in Him.
We also praise God that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your request. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). Your acknowledgment of His authority is a testament to your faith, and we rejoice with you in this.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister and their family. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessing upon them. Meet every financial need according to Your riches in glory. Father, we ask that You provide miraculously—whether through unexpected income, wise stewardship, or divine opportunities—so that their family lacks no good thing.
Lord, we also bring before You the matter of the borrowed funds. If it is Your will, we ask that You move in the hearts of those who owe our brother/sister so that what was borrowed is returned in full. Give them wisdom in managing their finances, and help them to walk in integrity and generosity. If there are lessons to be learned in this season, reveal them by Your Spirit, and lead them into greater trust in You.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, lack, or mammon that may be trying to take hold. We declare that our God supplies all our needs and that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper. Let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding as they wait on You.
Father, we ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them be a testimony of Your goodness and provision.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
