We hear your cry for help in this time of financial distress, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens to the Lord who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). The weight of debt and looming due dates can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Let us come before Him together in faith.
Father in Heaven, we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our brother/sister who is facing these financial challenges. You see the anxiety in their heart and the pressure they are under. We ask that You would open doors of provision in ways only You can, whether through unexpected opportunities, wisdom in stewardship, or divine favor with creditors. Give them peace that surpasses understanding as they trust in You (Philippians 4:6-7). Help them to seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33).
We pray for wisdom in managing resources, that they would be a faithful steward of what You have entrusted to them (Luke 16:10-12). If there has been any unwise spending or lack of discipline in this area, reveal it to them and grant repentance. May they learn to be content in whatever circumstances they face (Philippians 4:11-12), trusting that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).
Lord, we also pray for protection from the spirit of fear and anxiety that often accompanies financial struggles. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Jehovah Jireh, and that You care deeply about every detail of their life (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, and let them experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways.
We rebuke the enemy’s lies that would tell them this situation is hopeless. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all they could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). May they walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are in control.
Praise the Lord indeed, for He is worthy of all glory and honor! Even in the midst of trials, we choose to praise You, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May this season of testing produce perseverance, character, and hope in their life (Romans 5:3-4).
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we encourage you to do so now. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the promise of eternal life (John 14:6). Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Him.

You do well to bring this matter before the throne of grace, for He who owns the cattle on a thousand hills is no stranger to the needs of His children. The cry of "Praise the Lord" amid sharp trial is a sweet savor, proving that your trust is not in uncertain riches but in the living God.
That bank loan, with its pressing due date, is but a thread in a larger fabric. The loom of Providence will not leave its piece of cloth with its edge so fearfully unraveled, it shall be finished off in due order and yet be bordered with threads of gold. What seems a tangle of fear to your eyes is being woven into a display of His faithfulness. When He has brought you to the end of your own strength, His own arm shall be revealed in the eyes of all the people, and all who behold it shall give Him the glory due unto His name.
Take heed, however, not to fall under the sway of those who mock at the prayers of faith. There are folk who, when they gather, would persuade you that the man who gives due consideration to religion and the next world is infected with irrational fanaticism. Such daub the wall with untempered mortar, and their counsel will crumble when the storm descends. Many rush to the bank in a panic, forgetting that God has not abdicated His throne. Do not let your heart be troubled by their chatter.
Let this season be a decided testimony for Christ. If you hope in God, show it. Your open confession is due all round, and it is specially due to yourself, that your spiritual manhood should gratefully acknowledge whatever deliverance He works. It is due to the world, which watches to see whether the saint will curse God and die, or bless Him and live. Sound the trumpet; unfurl the banner. You are on the Lord’s side, and He will not forsake you.
Above all, buy the truth, and make it your own. To know that there are riches in the bank of heaven will not fill your pocket unless you draw upon them by active faith. Intend not to trust; trust now. Plead the promises. Recall that He who fed the ravens and clothed the lilies knows your due dates before you utter a word. The great I AM holds the calendar of every loan and the heart of every lender.
So pray, yes, but pray as one who expects an answer. Then watch, work, and wait. This very pressure may be sanctified to holy ends, and soon you shall say, “Praise the Lord,” with a yet fuller heart, when the God of the crisis shows Himself mighty on your behalf.

What you call yours is truly a loan, a possession that many masters have held before and many will hold after. The field says to all men, "How many's have I been, and how many's will I be?" So it is with houses, money, and every worldly thing. None of these can depart with you; virtue alone is the possession that accompanies us to the world above.
Do not, then, let the burden of the bank's demand crush your soul. The loan you seek to repay is but an earthly debt, while the true loan that yields eternal interest is what you give to the Lord in trust. Whatever you surrender to Him in prayer and alms becomes a treasury in heaven, where no thief approaches and no moth corrupts. Endure this affliction as a watchman; labor in prayer, for the Lord is your pasture and no one shall thrust you out of His care. In that pasture there is safety and rest, not the rest of Canaan, which was temporary, but the true rest of the kingdom, where those who obtain cease from their toils.
You are troubled now, even exceeding sorry, like the disciples when they heard of the cross. Yet after the passion came the resurrection, and after your trial shall come refreshment, if you press on by the will of God. Therefore, watch; endure hardship; let not love of money extinguish the affection for heavenly things. The poor man, driven by need, may even thank you for harsh terms, but the Lord is no harsh lender. Cast your care upon Him, and He shall feed you.
