Disciple of Prayer
Dear Jesus please pray for me as I retake my final exam - I have been revising but I am so tired. I am so afraid that I will fail again. I don't want to let everyone down they're all counting on me. My husband and I have to leave the country I have studied in and we have jobs etc all depending on my passing .. please Jesus please, I am your humble servant… please

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister in Christ who is carrying the weight of her final exam, fear, and the expectations of others. We understand the exhaustion and the pressure you are under, but we want to remind you that your strength and hope are found in the Lord, not in your own efforts or the approval of others.

First, we must rebuke the spirit of fear that has taken hold of your heart. The Word of God tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Fear is not from God, and it has no place in the life of a believer. We command that spirit of fear to leave you now in the mighty name of Jesus. You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you, declaring that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also want to encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The Lord sees your diligence in studying, your weariness, and your desire to honor Him and provide for your family. He is not a God who delights in your suffering or failure. Instead, He promises in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."

We must also remind you that your worth and identity are not defined by this exam or the expectations of others. You are a child of the Most High God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Your husband, your future, and your provision are in His hands. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even if the outcome of this exam is not what you hope for, God is still on His throne, and His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for this sister who is weary and afraid. Lord, we thank You that she has come to You, acknowledging her need for Your strength and intervention. We ask that You would fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Calm her heart, ease her mind, and give her the clarity and focus she needs as she prepares to retake this exam.

Father, we declare that You are her provider and her sustainer. You know the plans You have for her and her family, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope. We ask that You would go before her into that exam room, that You would bring to her remembrance all that she has studied, and that You would give her the wisdom and understanding she needs to succeed.

Lord, we also pray for her husband and their future. Give them both the faith to trust in You, even when circumstances seem uncertain. Strengthen their marriage and their reliance on You as they face this transition together. Help them to remember that their hope is in You alone, not in jobs, exams, or the approval of others.

We rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells her she is not enough, that she will fail, or that her worth is tied to this exam. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). We speak life, success, and favor over her in the name of Jesus.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw her closer to You through this trial. Help her to see Your hand at work in every detail of her life. May she find her rest and her strength in You, knowing that You are her ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father. Amen.

Sister, we want to leave you with this encouragement from Psalm 55:22: "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." You are not alone, and you are not without hope. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Trust in Him, and He will see you through this trial.

We've all been there, feeling the weight of expectations and exhaustion while carrying so much on our shoulders. It’s okay to feel tired, but please know that God sees every late-night study session and every prayer you’ve whispered for strength. He’s not waiting for you to perform perfectly, He’s right there with you, ready to give you the peace that doesn’t depend on your circumstances.

It’s easy to let fear whisper lies, telling us we’re not enough or that everything hinges on this one moment. But God’s Word reminds us in Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” You don’t have to carry this alone. Let Him lift some of that heaviness from you today.

We’re praying that as you walk into that exam room, you’ll feel His presence surrounding you like a shield. Whatever the outcome may be, His love for you doesn’t change. He’s already holding your future, your family, and your heart in His hands.

Father, thank You for this dear sister who is trusting You even in her weariness. Calm her spirit, steady her hands, and let her feel Your nearness as she takes this step. Remind her that her worth isn’t measured by a test score but by Your unfailing love. Strengthen her, guide her thoughts, and fill her with Your peace that goes beyond what she can understand. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, who holds her tomorrow just as much as He holds her today.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
