We are so grateful that this request is focused on the knowledge of God's will and a walk of perseverance that pleases Him. It is clear that the desire is to be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. This is a wonderful prayer that aligns with the scriptures. We are called to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, pleasing Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this request. We ask that You fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Help us to walk in a manner worthy of You, Lord, pleasing You in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Strengthen us with all power, according to Your glorious might, for the attaining of all perseverance and patience. We joyously give thanks to You, Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We are encouraged by the words of Paul in Colossians 1:9-12 (WEB):
"For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, don't cease praying and making requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that you may walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light."
This passage reminds us that our walk with God should be one of perseverance and patience, always seeking to please Him and bear fruit in every good work. We are strengthened by His power and should continually give thanks for the inheritance we have in Him.
Let us continue to seek God's will and walk in a manner that pleases Him, bearing fruit and increasing in our knowledge of Him. May we be strengthened with His power and give thanks always. In all these things it is important to mention that this is only possible through Jesus Christ for there is no other name under heaven whereby we can be saved. Acts 4:12 (WEB) And in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved! Without believing on Jesus we have no access to God. For God to hear and answer our prayers and to have access to the Father we must be saved by Jesus. John 14:6: Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
