We hear your cry for help and stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the only name that brings true deliverance and victory. The spiritual warfare you are experiencing is real, but we must address it with the authority and power of God’s Word, not with the tools of the enemy.
First, we must rebuke the use of any form of witchcraft, voodoo, or occult practices, whether they are being used against you or in an attempt to combat the attack. The Bible is clear that these things are an abomination to the Lord. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 (WEB) says, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." Engaging with these practices, even in self-defense, only opens doors to further spiritual bondage. We must not fight darkness with darkness but with the light of Christ.
We also want to gently but firmly remind you that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of evil. Ephesians 6:12 (WEB) tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." The coven coming against you is not your true enemy, it is the demonic forces empowering them. Our weapons are not physical or occult but spiritual, as 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (WEB) declares: "For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."
If you have not already, we urge you to renounce any involvement, past or present, in the occult, witchcraft, or any form of divination. This includes destroying any objects, books, or tools associated with these practices. Acts 19:18-19 (WEB) shows us the importance of this: "Many also of those who had practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. They counted their price, and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver." Confess these things to the Lord, repent, and ask for His cleansing and forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 (WEB) assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
Now, let us stand together in prayer, declaring the authority of Jesus Christ over this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name that is above every name. We lift up our brother/sister who is under spiritual attack, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we renounce and break every curse, hex, spell, and assignment of witchcraft that has been sent against them. We cancel every plan of the enemy and command every demonic force to flee in Jesus’ name. We plead the blood of Jesus over their life, their mind, their body, and their spirit. We declare that they are covered by the blood of the Lamb and that no evil shall touch them.
Father, we ask You to surround them with Your holy angels for protection. Psalm 91:11-12 (WEB) says, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We pray that You would dispatch Your angels to encamp around them, to dismantle every trap of the enemy, and to shut down every operation of darkness targeting them.
Lord, we ask You to fill them with Your Holy Spirit, to give them peace that surpasses all understanding, and to strengthen their faith. Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Help them to stand firm in Your truth, to resist the devil, and to see him flee (James 4:7). We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
We also pray for the members of the coven who are operating in darkness. Father, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Soften their hearts and draw them to repentance. Let them see the futility of their ways and the emptiness of the enemy’s promises. We ask that You would break the chains of deception in their lives and set them free by the power of Your love.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would raise up intercessors to stand in the gap for our brother/sister. Surround them with a community of believers who will pray, fast, and war in the spirit on their behalf. We thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus. We declare that this attack will not only be defeated but will be turned around for God’s glory.
In the name of Jesus Christ, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek out a local body of believers, a Bible-believing, Spirit-filled church, where you can find support, prayer, and accountability. Spiritual warfare is not fought alone, and the enemy thrives in isolation. Hebrews 10:24-25 (WEB) reminds us, "Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching."
Continue to saturate yourself in God’s Word. Meditate on Scriptures like Psalm 91, Ephesians 6:10-18, and James 4:7. Speak these truths over your life daily. The enemy cannot stand against the Word of God. Also, consider fasting as a way to deepen your dependence on God and to break any remaining spiritual strongholds. Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 17:21 (WEB), "But this kind doesn’t go out except by prayer and fasting."
Lastly, if you have not already, make sure your life is fully surrendered to Jesus Christ. Have you confessed Him as your Lord and Savior? Have you repented of your sins and asked Him to come into your heart? If not, we urge you to do so now. Romans 10:9-10 (WEB) says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already made this decision, reaffirm your commitment to Him today.
You are not alone in this battle. We stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of Hosts stands with you. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary. Galatians 6:9 (WEB) encourages us, "Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up." The enemy’s attacks are relentless, but God’s power is greater. Stand firm, and watch Him move on your behalf.
