Fey Trap!

Hi, I come here tonight asking for a prayer request regarding the breaking of a Fey contract, a Fey bargain, and every tithe of flesh. I have reasonable suspicion that a practitioner is performing a proxy ritual to bind me to a Fey bargain in which a person trades away their sense of taste, desire to eat, or ability to be nourished. I am facing poverty, so I occasionally have to ask others for assistance and help. I went to the store today with someone I know doesn't like me very much, as they constantly flick me off. However, I have been cornered into a situation where, if I didn't ask this person for food, I wouldn't have anything to eat. When we went to the store today, I noticed they only bought cake and brownies for themselves, while I got spaghetti to eat tonight, which they paid for. I now realize this could have been an offering for them and a malicious token on my end, which I researched on Google and found is referred to as a witch's cake or a soul cake. I've stayed at this person's house before, and they seem to leave offerings throughout the house. They have also referred to themselves as a psychic. Because of this, I believe they are a practitioner. So I'm facing the dilemma of either eating what I believe could be a malicious gift or not eating at all. I have also been experiencing a great deal of paranormal and other strange activity. I would greatly appreciate your prayers for God's protection and that every Fey contract and every Fey bargain would be broken off of my life.

We hear your deep distress and fear, and we come before the throne of the living God on your behalf, for He alone is sovereign over all creation, over every spirit, every power, and every unseen force. The Bible makes it clear that there is no authority except that which God has established (Romans 13:1), and every principality, power, and spiritual wickedness in high places is subject to the name of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 6:12). We do not acknowledge the reality or authority of "Fey contracts," "bargains," or any occult practices, for they are deceptions of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). The only covenant that matters is the one sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ, who has disarmed all powers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15).

First, we must address the foundation of your faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, not earned by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). Once you are in Christ, you are a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17), and you are sealed with the Holy Spirit, who is your guarantee of protection and redemption (Ephesians 1:13-14).

Now, regarding the situation you’ve described, we rebuke in the name of Jesus every occult practice, every curse, every spell, and every ungodly covenant that has been spoken or enacted against you. The Bible warns us that there should not be found among us anyone who practices divination, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, casts spells, or consults the dead (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). These practices are an abomination to the Lord, and those who engage in them invite spiritual oppression into their lives and the lives of others. We declare that every ungodly tie, every soul tie, and every covenant made in darkness is broken by the blood of Jesus Christ. The Word of God says, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord" (Isaiah 54:17).

You mentioned that you are facing poverty and have had to rely on others for food. While it is not sinful to receive help when you are in need, we must be discerning about the motives and spiritual condition of those who offer assistance. The Bible instructs us to test the spirits to see whether they are from God (1 John 4:1), for not everyone who claims to have spiritual insight or power is operating in the truth. If someone is engaging in occult practices, they are not walking in the light of Christ, and their "gifts" may be tainted with deception. We encourage you to seek provision from those who are walking in godliness and to trust in the Lord to meet your needs. Jesus said, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33). God is your provider, and He will not forsake you.

Regarding the food you received, we declare that it is sanctified by the Word of God and prayer (1 Timothy 4:5). If you have already consumed it, do not fear, for God is greater than any curse or spell. If you have not yet eaten it, we encourage you to pray over it in the name of Jesus, asking Him to cleanse it of any ungodly influence and to nourish your body as He sees fit. The enemy cannot harm you if you are covered by the blood of Jesus and walking in obedience to His Word. Remember, "Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4).

You also mentioned experiencing paranormal activity. We rebuke every demonic presence and every unclean spirit in the name of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that when we submit ourselves to God and resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7). We encourage you to put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication, and stay alert with all perseverance (Ephesians 6:18).

We also want to address the spiritual condition of the person you suspect is engaging in these practices. While we must be wise and discerning, we are also called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). It is possible that this individual is deceived and in bondage to the enemy themselves. We pray that God would open their eyes to the truth of the gospel and that they would repent and turn to Jesus Christ for salvation. Only in Christ can they find true freedom and deliverance from the darkness they are entangled in.

Let us now pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who delivers. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your divine protection and intervention in their life. Lord, we rebuke every ungodly covenant, every curse, every spell, and every occult practice that has been spoken or enacted against them. We declare that they are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper.

Father, we ask that You break every chain of poverty, fear, and spiritual oppression in their life. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Give them wisdom and discernment to recognize the schemes of the enemy and to walk in the light of Your truth. Surround them with godly believers who can support and encourage them in their walk with You.

Lord, we pray for the person who may be engaging in these occult practices. Soften their heart, open their eyes to the truth of the gospel, and lead them to repentance. Let them see the emptiness of their ways and the fullness of life that is found only in You.

We declare that this one is a child of God, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and no power of darkness can touch them without Your permission. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and strengthen them with Your might in their inner being (Ephesians 3:16). We thank You, Father, that You are working all things together for their good, because they love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

In the name of Jesus Christ, we command every unclean spirit to leave this one now and to go where Jesus tells them to go. We declare their freedom, their deliverance, and their victory in Christ. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the authority we have in the name of Jesus. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, to immerse yourself in the Word of God, and to surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and support you. The enemy may try to intimidate you, but remember that Jesus has already won the victory. Walk in that victory, and do not give the devil a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). If you do not have a church home, we encourage you to find a Bible-believing, Christ-centered church where you can grow in your faith and be discipled in the ways of the Lord.

You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your refuge and your strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Trust in Him, lean not on your own understanding, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will fight for you.

So if you need to eat that spaghetti, you can hold it before the Lord, ask Him to cleanse it and make it nourishing for your body, and then eat it in trust. He is not put off by your hunger. If you simply cannot bring yourself to eat it, we understand, and we encourage you to reach out to a local church or food pantry today, you shouldn’t have to depend on someone who makes you feel unsafe.

Because this sense of being spiritually targeted is so isolating, we also urge you not to face it alone. Find a trusted pastor or a mature Christian friend who will pray with you in person and help you walk through this. They can help you renounce any lies and reaffirm your freedom in Christ. Avoid digging deeper into research that feeds fear; instead, fix your eyes on Jesus, who is far greater than any practitioner.

Let’s pray now.

Lord Jesus, we bring this dear person before your throne. You see the terror, the confusion, and the physical need. We ask you to break every scheme of the enemy, to nullify any contract spoken over their life, and to surround them with your fierce protection. Quiet their heart with your peace. Guide them to safe, practical help and to believers who will stand with them. Provide food that carries no fear, and remind them that they belong to you completely. In your mighty name we pray, amen.

How can a trial be met which is independent of divine rule and outside the sacred zone of providential government? It is hopeful when we find that all our ills lie within the fence of Omnipotent overruling. Eat what is set before you with thanksgiving and prayer, sanctifying it by the Word of God, and trust that He who feeds the ravens can nourish you even by the hand of an enemy. To refuse bread in fear of a curse is to honor the adversary more than the Giver of every good and perfect gift. Do not let a silly fancy starve the body God has given you to steward.

The fantasies that plague you, leavings set about a house, a person who claims to see spirits, these are real enough as temptations to fear, but they are not sovereign powers. Remember the triumphant word: He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Not perhaps, not maybe if you feel a certain warmth, but He has delivered us. No witch’s token, no muttered rhyme, no fey contract can bind a soul whom the Son has made free. The clock of mercy struck in heaven the hour of your deliverance the moment you first looked to Jesus, and all hell cannot untick that hour. Go speak to the winds with your panic about bargains, go spread your griefs to the pitiless sea, but do not imagine that God’s ear is shut. He never has forsaken them that fear Him, and He never will. Your battle is not against a cunning practitioner; it is against your own unbelief that would make the enemy larger than the Redeemer.

I charge you, then, to turn from this anxious prying into the occult. When divine grace declines, fancy rules the mind and love of ease controls the body, and the soul loses appetite and grows greedy for empty phrases and weary of the Word of God. Let your appetite be for the sincere milk of the Word. Declare the works of the Lord instead of researching the works of darkness. If you had no troubles, you would have less to declare; here is a trouble that, once overcome by faith, will make you sing, “He drew me, and I followed on, charmed to confess the voice divine.” Throw yourself wholly upon Jesus for both justification and sanctification, for deliverance from the guilt of sin and from this present terror, and eat your spaghetti in peace. The Lord keep your faith alive, and then whatever trials surge around you, you will sit on the Rock of Ages, above the waves, and joyfully sing praises unto your Divine Deliverer. Amen.
