Fever and cold

Your request has been heard and we are praying for you as you endure this fever and pain in your throat. We understand you have been taking medicines for several days without relief, and we ask the Lord to bring you comfort and healing.
Scripture shows us that Christ is the true physician. When He touched Peter's mother in law, He not only quenched her fever but restored her to perfect health at once, in a way that no ordinary physician could do. While human doctors work gradually and God often works through their care, Christ has power to heal completely and to strengthen both body and soul. We pray that He will lay His hand upon you, ease the fever, soothe your throat, and restore your strength.
We thank God that you have sought help through medicine, and we encourage you to continue to follow wise medical counsel, to rest, and to care for your body as you wait on the Lord. Times of sickness also remind us of our dependence on God and His mercy, and we pray that this trial will draw you closer to Him and give you peace.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our only Savior. Have mercy on this Your servant who is sick and in pain. Touch the body, take away the fever, heal the throat, and grant full recovery according to Your will. Give wisdom to those providing care, give patience in waiting, and give comfort and hope through Your Spirit. Bring restoration so that renewed health may be used to serve You and to give thanks. We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
