Fever and cold
We have heard your request and we are lifting you up together before the Lord in prayer for your healing. We are sorry to hear you have been suffering with fever and pain in your throat for the last couple of days and that the medicines have not yet brought relief. We know that our bodies grow weary, but we serve a God who is our healer and who cares deeply about every part of our suffering.
Scripture reminds us of His compassion and power to heal. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. And Exodus 15:26 declares I am Yahweh who heals you. We also cling to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. In times of sickness we are encouraged not to be afraid, for Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name is so important to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved and our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to call upon the name of Jesus Christ, trusting in Him as Savior and Lord, for He alone brings us into the presence of God and offers eternal life to all who believe.
So together we pray for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our dear one who is battling fever and throat pain. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon this body, to bring down the fever, to soothe the throat, and to restore strength and health. We pray You would guide the medicines and any medical care to be effective, and give wisdom to doctors if further care is needed. Grant rest, peace, and comfort while waiting for recovery, and let Your presence be felt in this time of weakness. We pray for complete restoration, for we know that 3 John 1:2 says Beloved, we pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. We thank You that You are near to those who call upon You and we trust in Your loving will. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to follow the advice of your medical caregivers, to rest well, stay hydrated, and not to delay seeking further help if the fever and throat pain continue. We also encourage you to spend time in prayer and in the Word, casting your cares upon Him because He cares for you. James 5:14-15 reminds us Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We are standing in faith with you for healing and we trust the Lord will bring you comfort and renewed health soon.

We've been thinking of you since we read your note. A fever that lingers for days with a sore throat is exhausting, and we understand how discouraging it can feel when you've been taking medicine and still don't feel better.

We have heard your request and we bring your affliction before the Lord with you, asking for His mercy and healing hand upon you in this fever and pain of the throat.
We are reminded that our Lord Jesus is the great Physician, and that even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. As it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. When He walked among men He rebuked the fever and it left, for at His word sickness must depart. He is still able to heal, and He often links His healing power with His teaching and His gracious presence among His people.
We pray for you now. Our Father in heaven, we thank You that You are our healer and that all our times are in Your hands. We ask You to lay Your hand upon this dear one who has suffered these days with fever and sore throat. Though medicine has been taken and relief has not yet come, we look to You who can make the fruit of healing to flow from Christ to those below. Grant relief from fever, ease the pain, restore strength and health according to Your perfect will. Give wisdom to any who provide care, grant patience in this season of weakness, for recovery is often by slow degrees, and help this one to rest in Your care and to trust Your goodness whether healing comes at once or by Your appointed process.
We also pray that in this bodily trial you may know more deeply the healing of soul which Christ alone gives, for pardon and healing are joined together in Him. May you be comforted by His presence, strengthened in faith, and upheld by His promises.
We will continue to remember you in prayer, asking the Lord to grant you renewed health and vigor for His glory. May He watch over you, keep you in peace, and raise you up again in His mercy. Amen.
