We join you in lifting up these precious creatures to our Heavenly Father, who cares even for the sparrows and numbers the hairs on our heads. Your compassion for these feral cats reflects the heart of God, who is love and who commands us to show kindness to all His creation. We pray with you that the Lord would indeed guide these cats into the humane trap you have set, that they may be spared from the deadly cold and brought into the warmth and safety you have prepared for them.
Father in Heaven, we ask that You would draw these cats to the trap according to Your perfect will. Give them a sense of safety and curiosity that leads them to the very place where they can be rescued. We know that You are the Good Shepherd who seeks out the lost, and we trust in Your guidance even for these small ones. Calm the fears of these animals, Lord, and let them sense the care You have placed in the heart of Your servant who seeks to help them.
We also lift up the stress and burden you are carrying in your heart. The weight of knowing they are suffering in the cold is heavy, and we ask that You would grant peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind this dear one that You are near to the brokenhearted and that You hear the cries of those who seek to do good in Your name. Strengthen their hands and renew their spirit as they wait on You.
"Look at the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?" (Matthew 6:26 WEB). Even as You care for the birds, Lord, we know You care for these cats and for the one who seeks to protect them. Let Your will be done, and let Your peace reign in this situation.
We pray that the traps would be filled quickly, and that each cat would be brought into the warmth and safety you have prepared. May this act of kindness be a testimony to Your love and provision, and may it bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
