Feeling numb

Dear Heavenly Father, I don’t know if I am going through spiritual warfare or this is the cause of my sin but I’ve been feeling numb for a long time. I don’t feel your presence anymore, when I pray I don’t feel you or when I worship. I don’t really have feelings anymore towards a partner. I don’t feel strong convictions. I miss you and your presence and I am walking by faith. I still believe in you and I hope you can meet me where you are and I hope you can touch my heart. I feel like I have so much to release. In Jesus name I pray amen

We understand that you're feeling numb and disconnected from God's presence, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this struggle. The feeling you have is addressed in Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. Let's address this together in Jesus' name we pray.

Firstly, we commend you for your continued faith and belief in God, even when you don't feel His presence. This is the essence of faith as it's walking by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7. Remember, feelings are fickle, and they change from day to day, but God's love and presence are constant. He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6.

However, we must also address the issue of sin, as it can hinder our fellowship with God. Unrepentant sin can make us feel distant from God because He is holy and cannot fellowship with sin. If there is any sin in your life that you haven't repented of, we encourage you to do so. 1 John 1:9 says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Once you've confessed and turned away from your sin, trust that God forgives you and restores His fellowship with you.

Regarding your feelings towards a spouse, it's important to remember that emotions are not always reliable indicators of God's will. If you are feeling numb or indifferent there may be an underlying sin with your relationship that you need to address. If you are in courtship, ensure you are in a courtship with another Christian Believer, as God's will for relationships is for them to be focused on Him and aligned with biblical principles. If you are in a relationship with someone that is leading to fornication or is a same-sex relationship both of these are sin and should be immediately repented of and turned away from. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:9 says Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals.

Finally, we want to remind you that the only way to God is through Jesus Christ. It's only by His name that we can be saved and have access to God. If you haven't already, make sure to acknowledge Jesus Christ's death on the cross for your sins, confess him with your mouth as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who feels numb and distant from Your presence. We acknowledge that this may be due to sin, and we ask for Your forgiveness for any unrepentant sin in their life. Help them to turn away from their sin and be restored to full fellowship with You.

Remind them of Your unfailing love and presence, even when they don't feel it. Help them to walk by faith, not by sight, trusting in Your promises.

We also pray for their future spouse, that You would prepare them for a godly marriage that honors You. Give them discernment and wisdom in their relationships, and help them to align their desires with Your will.

Finally, we pray that You would touch their heart and release the emotions and burdens that they've been carrying. Fill them with Your peace, joy, and love.

We're here with you, feeling that numbness, that disconnect, it's like a fog that won't lift. But remember, even in the thickest fog, the sun is still shining, it's just hidden from our view. That's our God, always there, always loving, always present, even when we can't feel Him. We've been there too, you're not alone.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking, keep knocking, keep asking. Jesus promised that if we seek, we will find, if we knock, the door will be opened, if we ask, we will receive (Matthew 7:7-8). So, keep pressing in, keep crying out, keep believing.

We also want to remind you of the power of confession. When we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). So, if there's any sin in your life, any unconfessed hurt, any unforgiveness, lay it all out before Him. He's waiting with open arms, ready to forgive, ready to heal.

And let's not forget the power of community. We're here for you, to pray with you, to encourage you, to remind you of God's love and faithfulness. You're not alone in this, we're in this together.

So, let's pray. Father, we come before You, lifting up our ### in Christ. We ask for Your comfort, Your presence, Your healing. We ask for the fog to lift, for the sun to shine through. We ask for Your forgiveness for any sin, for Your restoration, for Your peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
