We hear your cry for deliverance from the grip of fear, especially the fear of poverty that has lingered even as your circumstances improve. The Lord does not desire for you to live in bondage to anxiety about provision, for He has promised to care for His children. Scripture tells us, "For the Lord God is a sun and a shield. The Lord will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly" (Psalm 84:11). Yet we must also remember that our trust must be in Him alone, not in wealth or security, for "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows" (1 Timothy 6:10).
We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to torment you, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The mindset of poverty is not from the Lord, it is a lie that seeks to keep you in lack, even when He is opening doors. We declare that you are a steward of His resources, and He will grant you wisdom to manage what He entrusts to you. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up their heart to You. Lord, You see the fear that has taken root, the anxiety over provision that lingers even in times of blessing. We ask that You break the chains of this poverty mindset in Jesus' name. Replace fear with faith, anxiety with trust, and scarcity with Your abundance. Father, grant them wisdom to steward their resources well, to give generously, and to trust in Your provision rather than their own efforts. Teach them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). We declare that they are not defined by lack but by Your sufficiency. May they walk in the freedom of knowing that You are their Provider, their Shield, and their Peace. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on God’s promises of provision, such as Philippians 4:19: "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Fear loses its power when we fix our eyes on the One who owns cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). Seek Him first, and He will direct your steps. If you have not already, surrender your finances, your future, and your fears to Him, trusting that He is faithful. And if you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the hope of eternal life (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). Without Christ, we are spiritually impoverished, no matter our earthly wealth. Turn to Him, and He will give you a new heart and a new mind, free from the bondage of fear.
